The #Packers have released K Brandon McManus, who they signed to a 3-year, $15.3M deal last offseason and paid a $1M roster bonus to in March, per @AdamSchefter.

Not completely unexpected. The Pack traded up and drafted the Florida kicker in the 6th round. You don't draft a kicker unless you anticipate he's going to be the starter. $4.4M in dead cap. Signing McManus in the offseason...and replacing him a year later? Sounds like a pretty good screw up by GB. Good for them.
