Would be nice to see this 4th rounder pan out big time. Only 25 years old. 6'1", 195 lbs. Another versatile player as he's slimmer that the average safety, good in run support however. Good leader.

Then you will love Jakobe Thomas. Hes a dog. Great in run support, can play just about anywhere. Can pluck the ball at any moment. Being a Miami fan, as you know I am, I didn't think Thomas would be the way we went. Saw us taking one a little earlier. If they love Ward, then Thomas should be taking over soon enough.

Big Citrus

Tiernan

Thomas

It's asking a lot, would certainly be nice if 2 of these 3 became front line players one day.

Honestly? My hope is Thomas makes me not care what Theineman does in Chicago.

Guru seems to think they are higher on Ward then the fanbase is...Kind of an under the radar guy for now.

Makes you wonder why you draft a more talented player in Thomas that is just about the same style. They drafted Thomas I feel to take over for Harrison. Thomas has a very high football IQ and has great instincts. He is super aggressive at the line and out in space, can play great in the nickel role. He will most likely start out as a rotational piece, but I wouldn't expect him to stay in that situation for too long. IMO he can and should turn out to be much better than Ward.

Ward came in for Metellus after his shoulder injury and played well in that role, grading in the 70s over the last three games. But Metellus will be back and I'm not sure Ward is as good playing deep. Metellus, Ward, Jackson and Thomas are probably the regularly contributing safeties, but God knows where they line up.
