Not bad at all, would like to see him in purple. Per Schefty. Always the plan to add a vet to the WR group. Jefferson, Addison, Felton and Jennings probably for this season. Thumbs up, he'd be perfect WR3. Big at 6'3"+. But at what cost?

He's planning on spending a night and a day so must be serious. Why hasn't he signed already / have other suitors?

Excited Season 4 GIF by The OfficeDepending on the contract that is. Not exactly a robust market left.

Sounds like a pretty high initial salary projection...that teams had no interest in paying. Maybe he's back down to something affordable?

Fron the NinersWire website:

"Jauan Jennings is still a free agent, but he could sign with a team at any moment. The former San Francisco 49ers receiver is meeting with the Minnesota Vikings this week, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. While it's unclear how imminent a signing is, this is the first major indication of a potential deal for Jennings.

The Miami Dolphins are another team reportedly interested in Jennings' services, but they reportedly won't have enough salary cap space to sign him until early June. The Vikings, meanwhile, have around $16 million in cap space but only $10.7 million in effective cap space (once they sign their rookie class). Jennings was projected to earn a $22.61 million a year salary when he entered free agency, but reports indicate teams aren't interest in his contract demands.

Jennings had a career year in 2024 with 77 receptions for 975 yards and six touchdowns, and he caught 55 receptions for 643 yards and nine touchdowns in 2025. He would likely be the Vikings' No. 3 receiver behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addision, if he and Minnesota can agree on a deal.

At the very least, Jennings won't be returning to the 49ers. The team has made that very clear both in their words and their actions. San Francisco signed Christian Kirk and Mike Evans before drafting De'Zhaun Stribling with the No. 33 pick. The team has moved on from Jennings, but the veteran still needs to find a new home."

He might agree to a one year 'show me' deal....Mr. 3rd Down and a hell of a downfield blocker in the run game.

On the plus side, signing him won’t factor into compensation pick calculations. Raiders and Dolphins are bereft of WR talent. It’s going to come down to what he wants to play for.

Can't imagine why. Half that and we'll talk.

Maybe the Vikings can sell him but I'm not seeing it. I'm guessing Jennings not only wants big money, but a multi-year deal, and that just doesn't seem likely with the Vikings paying both Jefferson and Addison big money next year. Vikings can maybe try to sell him on the 1-year prove-it deal in a high-powered offense that he can take to the market next year. But even that doesn't fly much. At best, he'll put up WR3 numbers, Nailor numbers. And Nailor got about half of what Jennings is asking.

If we can get him to agree to a 1-year deal for about $8-10M, he would add a lot to the offense. Only 28, big guy, 6-3, 215, good blocker, good red zone target.

I'd like a bigger WR in that room this year...It'll come down to terms, like always.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
