If anyone else wants to know their email you should be able to find it in your profile.

Are people using the User>User Panel dropdown? Or clicking on their username in yellow?

The User dropdown has the email address in it. Don't see much from the page found by clicking on the username.

I was able to get in this am...

Alternately, click on your avatar picture in the top right. Then on the upper left side, there's a Menu section, click on the "User CP Home" item.

Your existing email should be right in the "Account Summary" section

Tried verifying the email, got the same "invalid" message.

in the upper right hand corner of the main screen you will see your user name, under that you will see "last visited" and then next to that on the right do you see "USER" with a drop down menu?  if yes then click the drop down and you will see " User Panel"   once you select that it should take you to your user page,  on that user page you should see you avatar in the middle of the view panel,  next to that should be your user name, post count, other crap and your email sandwiched in the middle of it all.
