16-22 fits about perfectly. Value is the for S. If they love a WR and want a S later, and there are plenty to be had, that works. If they want to trade down, particularly for a team looking for an OT (Chiefs) there’s plenty of those too.

Maybe the biggest bang is at WR?

Jeremiah is fading hard on him. Like 10’ pole marks. Injuries, doesn’t compete. Seems uber risky. But, if he hits, wowza.

If Lemon (for some unknown reason) is there at 18?

I think you'd have to run to the podium with that one.

This is exactly how I feel about Tyson.  Uber talented and the ceiling is high, but where's the floor?

Based on Rob's comments about BPA, there are so many paths we can take at 18.  Sometimes BPA fits a need long-term and I'm hoping it works out that way.

He's a QB's best friend immediately as a reliable slot guy who could migrate into a Z later on because he's so talented and could be used all over like Jefferson has been.

I wish I could get excited about Woods at 18, but I can't.

Such a big need too.

Sigh

The 24 tape has him as a top 5 guy. Definitely risky but there’s ability there. His track is exactly like Ed Oliver when he came out.

Oh hell, they're ALL there too. Wouldn't surprise me if he drops into the 2nd round. Injuries all over his college career, pulls hammy in October, then tweaks it again in November, then AGAIN in pre-draft workouts. Good luck with that. Where you take him is up to your risk tolerance. I don't think it would be high for the Vikings considering WR is not really one of our needs. Gambling on a need is one thing. Gambling on a non-need is something else. But healthy? I like him more than any WR in this draft.

The bad thing is that it's very possible some playoff team at the end of round one with a high tolerance for risk is going to get a massive steal with this kid, and we'll be wondering three years from now how Tyson was the 4th or 5th WR taken. There was an LSU receiver taken a few years ago who could "only play slot," and so four WRs were taken ahead of him.

Here's a scout (NFL.com) that refutes Jeremiah's assessment of "doesn't compete" with Tyson;

“He injured both hamstrings in that Texas Tech game but still played through it and then single-handedly closed that game out for them. He wouldn’t check out.” – NFC regional scout

Oh....and he finished that game with 10 catches for 105 and a TD. As far as the injuries go, he has a scheduled workout on the 17th and much will be answered. I think if he didn't have the hamstring, he'd be the top receiver in this draft and a top 10 pick. He's a steal if he makes it to #18

Omar Cooper Jr is a player I think that would fit in perfectly with JJ and Addison. I will probably be in the minority here, but I feel he is a better option than Jordyn Tyson. Cooper Jr can play all over the field and would really open things up for JJ and Addison.

I posted similar sentiment in the WR thread...LOVED him at IU and I think the transition to Sundays wont be difficult for him.

CHP? Absolutely, the guy is clutch on top of it.

Todd McShay absolutely loves him, calls him a faster version of Jarvis Landry.

I like Cooper and Tyson more than the receivers ranked ahead of them in most rankings. Cooper has a high floor IMO.
