Who wins Superbowl?
I think game will be close till half then Seattle will pull away.
34-20
Darnold winning a Superbowl for another team in his first attempt j seems like the next chapter of the wilfs wilfing.

Agree with the negative karma coming for us in Viking Nation (we don't deserve it damn it, but like Clint Eastwood's character in "Unforgiven" said to the local sheriff (played by Gene Hackman) right before he shot him - "Deserve's got nothing to do with it". Seahawks win by 10+ points and Darnold plays well (250+ and 3 TD's) and wins SB MVP.

The Wilfs aren’t the ones who got rid of Darnold. They’re just the ones who make sure the team never wants for anything. Always among the leaders in free agent spending, as well as non-cap expenditures like UDFAs, coaching staff, facilities. Absolutely no clue why they’re catching strays from anyone.
Patriots reached the Super Bowl in part by playing teams with a .391 winning percentage. That’s the 3rd weakest schedule in NFL history.
I think Seattle wins. I think they’re the better team. I think even in the playoffs the Pats didn’t face a team this good. Broncos in a blizzard without Nix; Houston in an epic Stroud meltdown and the Chargers playing the worst game of their season.
Patriots will have to get lucky again to win this one. And they just might.
We're all very narcissistic when it comes to Darnold...
The fans really hurting are the Jets.
That said, I cant remember a SB recently where I had less interest tbh.
I think Seattle wins this and probably pretty easily too.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
not much intrest from me worse part is living in north west montana about ten miles from Tom is all the fake pigon fans.worse yet is my wife claims to be a sky rat fan even though she hardly watched any games.but she is knowledgeable .worse part is she has to work atleast part off the game and is already pissed what a way to end this horrible season

I'm the opposite. I rarely watch the Super Bowl and certainly haven't the last few years. Kansas City, Philly, Philly, Kansas City. Lather, Rinse. Repeat. Yuck. I'm actually looking forward to this one for the first time in years.
Seattle unless its a low scoring game. Then Verabel for the W
Drake isn't brilliant with situational awareness, at this point in the 2nd quarter. He's caused/allowed sacks that show HIS relative youth.
The defenses are basically the story to this point.
KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....
I know Walker won the MVP, and neither QB played particularly well, but I think the biggest advantage in that game was Sam Darnold over Drake Maye. As substandard as Darnold was, he still led 5 scoring drives, didn't turn the ball over and took only one sack. That made all the difference.
It made me think that even if McCarthy has a Maye-like level of improvement in his 2nd season, it's going to be very hard to count on a QB that young in a big game like this. Maye is a good young QB, but his inexperience was on full display last night.

Yeah while I think many Vikings fans were lamenting that it could've been us in there with Darnold-- understandably-- I was mostly thinking that if it was the 2026 Vikes playing last night, we'd have looked a lot like New England. And yeah, it's easy to forecast your scenario where we do see a leap but then hit a wall in the playoffs. Maye was terrible for almost their entire playoff run.
Poor Maye, he was way in over his head...I know Maye can use his legs well, but me thinks the impromptu that Caleb or Daniels brings may have faired better.
All I know is NE, CHI and (probably) Wash have their QB's of the future. I suppose you can put Denver in that mix too.
More to come on PEnix and JJM in 26.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Good for Mr Sam Darnold, Super Bowl winner! Our last QB who started in a Super Bowl for the Vikes is now 86 years old.
I was thinking after the game ended;
I was a teen when the Vikings played the Raiders in the Rose Bowl, now I'm on Medicare.
Must have been all those scenic Cali shots during the game that dusted off the olde memories from Pasadena in 77.. Oh those shots of the mountains.
My wife didnt believe me that I've been waiting that long - and still counting.

I was 2 and blissfully unaware of the Vikings at that point)

You can't teach experience and his o-line did him no favors...
I do believe this though and that is I think Caleb or Daniels might have fared better with their escapability.
I like Maye's progress and upside, but I also think both those guys are special, if they can stay healthy.
