As an ND fan, I've had the pleasure of watching him play masterfully for almost 20 years. All time great.

I mean this was highlighted again today during the broadcast just how important he is to this Flores defense as another coach on the field and how smart he is. Regardless of what happens to Flores, I'd love to see Smith kept on as a defensive assistant. Just so much valuable experience and there would be no better teacher.

I would love to see this,   he has been one of my favorites since we drafted him, however its pretty rare to see players of his caliber go into coaching.  I wish him well in whatever he decides to do.  It's been a treat to see one of the games best of all time play for as long as we have.  I dont think his contributions have been truly appreciated by the fans beyond his longevity.   He has been a difference maker beyond the stats he has accumulated.

Gonna miss you Hitman!

It says a lot about Harrison Smith as a person and teammate that they showed up for him. I think that is pretty special
