ESPN sources: Falcons QB Michael Penix suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury during Sunday’s loss to the Panthers. Penix will be seeking a second opinion, but it is not encouraging.

Another guy the jury is out on.....needs more games.

Damn...hate to read that.

Very likable kid, easy to root for if I was a Birdie fan.

....and sadly, will probably keep him out of half the games NEXT year if its an ACL.

ACL could happen to anyone, but his medicals scared the bejeezus out of me that draft.

For sure. That was his knock coming out. And he'll be 26 years old next May.

Its interesting: Max Brosmer had either one or two serious knee injuries in college. Hadn't heard anything about that before I watched some YouTube video about his college career.

The good news for the Falcons is they have a $100 million backup...that went 6-14 for 48 yards filling in for Penix last week in a 30-27 loss.  Oh wait...there is no good news.

Kirk looked washed last year....he got a little benefit of the doubt from some. But this year he's garbage so last year wasn't an anomaly.
