Jones Update
Vikings RB Aaron Jones, who was dominating early in Detroit before leaving the game, suffered an AC joint sprain. Belief is it’s minor and he believes he’ll be able to play next week. pic.twitter.com/TGd4EBN5Ph

I noticed that myself. In fact, I take back what I said a few weeks ago...He's definitely 1A to Mason's 1B. He's got "burst" that Mason doesn't have.

He is faster than Mason and can see the hole better than most backs in the league. Unfortunately he is older and not big which makes him injury prone. He does have great pain tolerance, so hopefully his AC joint sprain is low grade and he will be able to come back next week. He has a burst that Mason doesn't have. He was great at Green Bay when he and Dillon spelled each other. I think he and Mason could be that same dynamic duo for the Vikes. He is also very good at picking up the blitz.
He was fresh, and Mason has been playing all along. I would hope Jones would look better the way the season has gone thus far.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
Jones is a whole different kind of RB than Mason. I think there will be Jones weeks and there be Mason weeks based on the kind of defense we go against. This was definitely a Jones week.
I think it’s more an OLine thing and a freshness thing. He looked like he was running on fresh legs with a lot of open space to navigate through.
I do think that in general Jones is ever so slightly faster and more agile, but I think Mason navigates traffic better. During the dark days of the OLine, I trust Mason more to keep moving the ball forward. That said, I think Jones receiving ability really adds an extra threat to the offense.
They are a good complimentary duo.

His route running makes him a great option as well. Not gonna label him injury prone with that hit. 2 guys on top of him and he landed all on that shoulder.
sometimes though, its knowing how to avoid taking the hits that cause injuries, more so than a persons tendency to get hurt IMO, but sometimes its just out of your control.

I like Jones and I think he's a really good locker room presence too.
GB kicked him to the curb for $/Age/Injury prone.
We'll need some juice at RB next year to pair with Mason. That group will need to get faster and better.
They missed their chance to tap one in this last really good rb rookie crop.

I hope he's right, and can just add some padding to get past it. He's a great back, great blocker, great receiver, and a great changeup vs Mason.
As well as CB, finding a RB that can model from Jones' example would be a good draft priority.
KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....
