It’s nice to see Darnold and Jones playing well. Vikings did the right thing, JJ is going to be a great NFL QB, need to get our line healthy and JJ some reps. He has a lot to learn, it’s going to take some time, but it will be worth it.

I get it, you want your player to be healthy enough to protect himself out there...  but you have a team full of guys who are fighting through injuries and playing on Sunday.

You want your QB to be a leader and show his toughness by playing through stuff.  He's letting Wentz do it, but not JJ.  Hopefully it doesn't affect how the team views JJ because I'm sure he'd love to be out there with his guys.

I think part of it is due to KO allowing McCarthy back in the game in Atlanta and he's trying to overcome his first mistake.

I also wonder if McCarthy didn't hurt his ankle even more by going back in and his o line just opening the flood gates for defenders to roam free up in McCarthy's grill, bending, pulling, and stretching him awkwardly even more than the hip-drop tackle.

As for Wentz starting, whether injured or not, I find no excitement at all for this team at the moment and I'd prefer Brosmer to get some reps instead.  I like Wentz, but he's a backup for a reason and has never been the same since his injury in Philly.  I'm glad he's been able to play for his childhood team, but we need to win games and/or put our future QB(s) in to give them a chance to grow and mature in NFL action.

I agree with Tommy 100%.  Darnold was not worth the money and there was no way he was staying as a backup.  Jones was offered more money to stay, but he knew McCarthy was the future and wanted a chance to start again.  Good for both of these guys for getting paid and finding the best opportunities for them.

Wentz is not our future.

I think most of the fan angst is about JJM and not the team record...Minimally, fans want hope and to be entertained now and then.

The rabbit hole of conspiracy about soft benching, readiness and healing from injury is absolutely ridiculous. He has played 2 games. It is unreasonable and unrealistic to label JJM based on that. The coaches and medical professionals will figure it out and JJM will play when he is supposed to. The amount of speculation is insane, I hope things get resolved sooner rather than later but other than that, we wait and see
