Draft Talk
Nice writeup from the Athletic on the top 3 draft prospects by position thusfar for the 2026 draft. This is going to be a deep draft along the offensive line. Obviously secondary is a need for us. Running back, if the right one is there. Interesting neither Penn State kids made his top 3. Not a very happy year in Happy Valley thusfar. A kid that's really caught my attention is the TE from Oregon, Sadiq. Never too early to start looking towards the draft...

I still think he’s an Edge, but I don’t think labels really matter. He’s disruptive going downhill no matter where he lines up. Someone recently said “I’ve got him in my top 10 and that might not be high enough”.
Major riser. He’ll be long gone by the time we pick. Still like Styles for us the best. Great class.

How I believe the IDL in the 2026 Draft stack up as of now:
— NFL Draft Files (@NFL_DF) October 16, 2025
1. Peter Woods
2. A’Mauri Washington
3. Domonique Orange
4. Zxavian Harris
5. Christen Miller
6. Caleb Banks
7. Mateen Ibirogba
8. Kayden McDonald
9. Akheem Mesidor
10. Darrell Jackson
11. Anthony Smith
12. Dontay… pic.twitter.com/aBIXT3wnhh
The nice thing about this list is you can immediately ignore anyone with prototypical NT size.

What are the position priorities? Right now, I'd put it like this. And from what I've been able to gather, this is a good draft for our top two needs.
1. LB
2. C
3. RB
4. DB

I’d like to see either Jurgens or Brandel grab hold of the C position. If Kelly comes back without a Guardian cap the medical staff should be sued for malpractice.
I probably put C at 5 and add iDL somewhere in the list.

GBN recently updated their 1st round projection. Have seen this player mocked to us a few times
In @Jordan_Reid EARLY 2026 mock draft, he has the Vikings picking at No. 16 and selecting CB Avieon Terrell out of Clemson.

ONE RB in all of Rd1? Crazy...

I like what we've seen from Mason and Scott so I would push RB out of top 5, add IDL and TE. Hocks cap hit jumps to over 20 million after this year for his last 2 season, I like his game, but I dont like it that much. We do have an out after this year at about 12 million in dead cap. not sure what the TE market or draft is going to look like, but I would add it to the list until/unless we something from our others currently on the roster.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

I think if you have a chance to add a dynamic runner like Love in combination with Mason, you do it. IDL is a need with the age we have along the line. We've also struggled to hold up against the run. I agree with you that TE could be a sneaky need and I love the Oregon kid. I feel that whatever direction we go, we'll have some really good players on the board that also fill needs. Unfortunately...we still need put our trust in Mensah to make the right pick.
We’re still more than six months away from the 2026 NFL Draft, but college football’s regular season has crossed the halfway point.

Downs still this high up, especially on a loaded Ohio State D, is quite impressive.

When Leonard Moore guarded Makai Lemon tonight:

3 targets
2 catches
28 yards
57.6 receiving grade
Moore was playing out of position on what’s been the best receiver in the nation and locked him up.

Still think he’s better suited inside.
