The next 4 games after the Bye week
@TPPSkol
The Vikings next 4 games (post-bye) seemed very daunting a couple weeks ago, but actually may be more winnable now. Not easy, but not impossible.
Week 7: Eagles
- Eagles 4-1 but just lost to the Broncos
- Drama starting to brew amongst their offense
- Eagles will have mini-bye before playing Vikings (TNF against Giants)
Week 8: at Chargers
- Tough game on a short week
- Chargers are 3-2 (after 2 straight loses, Giants and Commanders)
- Their OL is pretty injured right now too
Week 9: at Lions
- Probably the toughest game of the 4
- Lions are dominating teams and have ratteled off 4 straight wins after losing to Packers week 1
Week 10: Ravens
- Wheels have really fallen off this squad now 1-4.
- They will likely be very desperate
- Lamar Jackson is injured but expected back before this game

These hard seltzers/hard vodkas are on fire, they taste way better than that Bud Light/Miller Lite weak ass shit. Kids aren't slamming 250-300 calorie full flavored beers anymore unless they live in Colorado and are 35 lbs overweight.
5. Why am I seeing guys drinking White Claw and Truly in commercials? Seriously?
purplefaithful wrote:Yep, and I've tried them. A little too sweet tasting for me, but they do give you a gentle buzz. Plus gummies and vape and THC is swiftly becoming the buzz of choice for the 40 and under crowd (and one old guy in Boca).
THC drinks are en fuego too...Especially with the younger bro's.
JimmyinSD wrote:If you work out or your job is construction and hard outdoor work, hell you can drink melted butter all day and still be ripped when you are young. The 3 summers off of college I worked for my Uncle who was a contractor, the only thing to drink on the worksite was beer. No water, just coolers of beer. Building cottages, putting on new roofs, cement work, general labor stuff and I was ripped like hell. But if you are a younger bro and your job is white collar and you don't hit the gym, those calories will catch up to you quick. Alcohol consumption is lower than its been since Prohibition. North and South Dakota have the highest beer drinking percentages in the country by state per capita, with North Dakota #1. Beer isn't king anywhere else, its significantly down. Lots of alternatives.
LOL, thats funny, just yesterday I saw a friend of my sons, about 6'3 and maybe 170 soaking wet, but pretty much ripped body tone wise ( fucking genetics) and he was pounding Coors Heavies Pounders. We dont see a lot of guys in this part of the country drinking those things, beer is still king unless you are mixing and then its typically some sort of whiskey.
Its a very tough 4 game stretch, no matter how you slice it. Good teams that are underperforming and then just really good teams in general. No idea how many the Vikings win, if any, regardless of the QB. But I'd sure like to see McCarthy get the reps.
purplefaithful wrote:Yeah, I hit the local dispensary for gummies, vape and a joint or two as we have a friend who only partakes in joint form so I keep around a few prerolls for when he comes over. I like the Indica/Sativa hybrids. I drink wine, usually a Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley (my fave). Vodka/lemonade for the hot days by the pool. Beer very rarely, although I like a good hoppy IPA from Funky Buddha or Barrel of Monks (south Florida breweries) when we go out sometimes as a changeup.
I would 100% prefer THC to alcohol. Retired in MN! My vape is pharmaceutical grade now that MN has legalized the stuff...A little indica some nights or a nice hybrid blend when you dont want to get tired. I cant imagine slamming 6 beers anymore. Its just not for me.
Yippee.

According to
@GuruRankings
, the Vikings have the most difficult remaining schedule in 2025.
p.s. please let the Eagles pound the piss out of the Giants tonight so we don't have a fired up unit the following week against Minnesota.
And the team is still 3-2.

The #Vikings have played FOURTEEN different offensive line combinations through the first 5 games, Kevin O’Connell mentioned via The Schrager Hour

I have no idea what the rest of the year will bring with so many questions on injuries and at QB. Put on the fan seatbelt and "hit go" I guess..
The Broncos - Jets game....yuck. Fields threw for 45 yards. And they almost won. Who are the truly great teams? And why are there so many mid to shit teams? And all the teams that played well last week, played like garbage this week....and vice versa. Yet the media is crowning and dissing both left and right, changing direction every week!

Curious why you'd say that about the Eagles. They're playing like shit right now. Is it the ol' "because they're playing like shit, they'll be pissed off" thing? Man, I don't know. Just don't think it works like that.
purplefaithful wrote:This is more to the point, I think. Philly might not need to be pissed off to beat Minnesota.
Plus I dont think this is a very good Viking team yet.
purplefaithful wrote:Hang in there, old Lion. Better times coming.
To me its the odds of losing 3 in a row...Its just bad timing imo. My hope would be to be competitive for this game if JJM was starting. Its more important for me as a fan to see hope at QB then a win right now tbh.
