Green Bay
This may age like milk as soon as Sunday, but why on earth am I seeing so much Packer love lately? I know it's GB and this happens every year but man the Packer hype is overboard.
Where does your team land in @RalphVacchiano's Week 1 Power Rankings? 📈📉

No idea if this tweet^ will properly post since this is Vikefans, but some FOX analyst has them ranked 4th, a spot ahead of Buffalo and 5 ahead of Detroit. Bias aside what am I missing here?
They're offense was trash last year and the offensive line got worse. I think they're catching Detroit at a good time (new coordinators on both sides) so maybe they win this week and do it convincingly and I'm just wrong, but the momentum they have right now hasn't been earned in my opinion. Let's see if they can earn it now. Let the games begin!

They're obviously better with Micah Parsons, but the hype was ridiculous even before that. They were a blocked field goal from going 0-6 against the division last year. Jordan Love can be good but sometimes very bad. I like the receiver they drafted, but their OL is arguably worse this year. Their 1st round tackle from 2024 looks like a total bust. Still isn't starting. And their cornerbacks are a big question mark after losing Jaire. It's league average at best. Our corners are better than theirs and that says a lot.

Ha, yeah. Like MB said the hype began long before Parsons. He's a great player and I'm sad they got him but it's not like they're loaded with Micah Parsonses. Thankfully he's just one (insanely talented) guy. My questions are moreso around the rest of their team.
Clickbait...it's BS

They (media) hitched their train to Jordan Love and in reality, so did the organization. Lots of sweat equity in this kid already and its 50/50 on this guy, not ideal. The NFCN is a beast and they should have gone 0-6. The deep divers in the media see his issues and weaknesses. But Micah Parsons is going to make a difference. I hate this trade because I think its going to really help them. Would love this to be a 'Where Sticky Was Wrong' segment a year from now.
Parsons is a HUGE get...
But yah, their future fortunes will be far more influenced by what Love does (or doesnt)
I'm not seeing greatness at the QB position tbh...
Maybe good on a given Sunday, but like Wet says; he's going on yr5 now.

Pack drafted extremely well along both lines for a few years recently. They will be good, but will not be great with Love as their QB
Pretty hard to argue they've drafted extremely well when they're 2024 1st rounder, Jordan Morgan, was benched his rookie season, is not in line to start this year and is already being labeled a bust by many.

We'll find out quick: they play Detroit on Sunday.
That is must see TV...I hope Detroit smokes em, but I'll settle for a Kittie win.
What an opening weekend, ending on MNF!

Definitely must-see TV, but it sucks that the two games we all want to watch the most are the last two games of week one. On a related note, the NFL started Thursday night openers in 2002. In 24 seasons, the Vikings have never once played in a Thursday opener.

Well, if they win a Lombardi one of these decades....

Agreed. Super stoked for my NFL Sunday routine! Swedish meatballs, hot wings with blue cheese and nursing Miller Lites a good portion of the day. It all starts with coffee and Baileys at an hour much too early for a weekend day. Viking flag ready and waiting. Shit weather weekend forecast so no pool time before kickoff, but I'll survive.
Thats a good routine!
It's been hot, muggy and smoky here all summer. Canadian wildfires are getting worse, not better. I personally hate it.
But you know what happened the last 3 days? Mother nature blew in some cold air (left the smoke out) and it feels like football now.
Was 45 degrees in the back yard this morning with a good, stiff breeze. My Labrador approved.

September 9th 2010, lost 14-9 at New Orleans.
We've also had one Saturday night opener and 7 MNF openers including this weekend. 7 of the 9 games on the road, 3 wins 5 losses pending this Monday. All games versus NFC opponents.
Where pattersaur Was Wrong:
Whoops. If the hype around Green Bay was unearned before, it's officially earned now. They dominated Detroit. The offense looked ok/good but the defense looked like a force. Detroit couldn't run the ball, couldn't get the quick passing game going consistently, and didn't have time for deep passes. They were totally shut down and I gotta tip my cap to the Packers. But, it's just one game. We'll see what the Vikings and Bears can do tonight.
