#1 Texas at #2 Ohio State

Surprised they didn't make this a Thursday night game or at least latter in the day today and put this more into prime time.
Well....Arch did not look good. Maybe 2 good throws. Texas seems to have a way of coming up short in big games. Mostly a sloppy game, fairly boring.
Keep an eye on Michigan true Freshman QB Bryce Underwood, he's going to be special.
I think you're seeing some of the top teams that have lost, like Alabama and Clemson, ok with it because its all about making the playoffs. Klubnik said as much. An early loss isn't the death knell it used to be so maybe the urgency isn't there like it should be.
And Coach < Prime: 13-13 record at Colorado and 0-1 in Bowl games and they want to put a statue of him in Boulder, lol. Who he's dating is more interesting that his coaching career.

This was in reference to Alabama shitting the bed against Florida State. And he's right. Grit, determination and strong wills still win the day, but you have to find the talented kids that still have that fire after getting the bag. Lots of sloppy play this weekend, even by the winning teams. That's going to change moving forward. Probably the same for opening NFL weekend.
^^^ This! In season losses are "different" now...All about making the playoffs for sure I think there are some lessons here as we prep for Wk1 of the NFL season. DL's will be ahead of the OL's and when in doubt? Bet the under the first couple weeks of the season. Vikings vs Bears might not be very pretty, could be a slobber-knocker type game (19-16). I was underwhelmed with Arch yesterday, but my gut says he's going to be just fine. That was a tough opener for anyone, especially someone who can still be labeled a greenhorn. Neither Nussmeir or Klubnik impressed last night. But man, some of the LSU and Clemson D guys would look good in Viking purple on Sunday next season. And Klubnik is supposedly rated highly coming out next year? Did I hear that right?

You shouldn't be punished so severely for losing one game and if you're a great team, you will rise and get another chance as it should be. I think my Wolverines will be just on the outside looking in and miss the playoffs but next year they should make it.
Interesting first big weekend of college football. Disappointed my Irish lost, but it's not a killer in the playoff grand scheme. We were essentially an incredible one handed catch that gets intercepted 99.9% of the time away from winning. Miami's defensive line though is impressive. For draft purposes, a guy who really jumped out to me is South Carolina receiver Nyck Harbor. 6'5"/235 pounds with track star speed, put it all on display in their win over the Hokies. Calvin Johnson type guy for sure
