Prayers for one of our own brothers
Not sure how to broach this subject, but one of our long time brothers on this forum (took him a while to get on this new forum, but he's been reasonably active this spring/summer), is having surgery this afternoon. He just texted me with the news...he's in pre-op.
He would probably be pissed if I disclosed his name or the specific cancer he is being operated on that they are trying to remove. So I best not say anything publicly.
I'll just say that he's a long-time brother, and has developed personal friendships offline with many over the years.
Sorry, I'm a bit unsettled by this news, but I know how important this Vikings passion is to him.
None of these "thoughts and prayers" stuff for our brother...just prayers, please.

I will add, cancer sucks. Have been way to familiar with it in our family. And also, we all need support. I am sure your friend will not mind having others pray for his healing.
