Shaq Griffin
Anyone?
Was he cut? Haven’t seen that he’s available. Appears he was cut today. I’d hope we can do better.

If he goes to the Seahawks PS he's a good candidate for our 53. He knows the system- no having to get him up to speed-- and with 4 CBs and the possibility of injuries that's good insurance. It doesn't mean we don't keep looking.
He had a few moments last year, but I would hope we could have dobe better with the current cap space and free agency, but the future cap concerns have to be factored in so we are likely bargain shopping or deploying hope as a tactic once again at the position.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Honest to God, can't we do better than this guy?
We seemed hellbent on doing worse.
I'd rather scoop together some future picks and swing a trade for another Isaiah Rodgers type, and then maybe explore the possibility of adding a Griffin or Gilmore down the road if needed. Yes, I think we could use more than one.
But right now we just need another corner who can start for us in case of injury, or in the very real possibility that Okudah is a mirage. Griffin is only 30, knows the Flores defense. We could do worse.
The silence on the db front is deafening...
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
The two teams that know Griffin the best, Minnesota and Seattle, have cut bait and run from him in spite of distinct needs in the secondary. That should tell you something. I have to figure they're working a trade behind the scenes for someone better.
He was cut by Seattle yesterday. Yes, he is available.
He was cut by Seattle yesterday. Yes, he is available. But then, so am I :-)
yes he was a Viking in '24 but he was average at best and sometimes less than average. The thing is he could be OK at the #4 CB. Play in an emergency? Also, he is more an outside CB and the Vikigs really need to add inside depth.

Vikings Beef Up Secondary with K’Von Wallace
Wallace was announced as the latest addition to the Minnesota Vikings practice squad. He had been let go ahead of the 53-man roster settling for the New York Giants.
He had three solo tackles in the preseason with the Giants.
Wallace was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft. He played in 45 games with Philly and made seven starts, but he was cut ahead of the 2023 season.
Something to note is that the team’s newest addition has a history of moving around a defense.
His career has involved being a free safety for a good portion of his on-field work. More specifically, Wallace has lined up deep for 739 snaps. Next up is being a box safety for 491 snaps and a slot corner for 198 snaps. Rounding things out are 38 snaps along the d-line while also having 17 as a wide corner.
