Practice Squad Tracker (and rules)
Now that the 11:00 AM Central deadline for waiver claims has passed, the Minnesota Vikings can start constructing their practice squad for the 2025 season.
The practice squad can contain 16 players, ten of whom have to have between zero and two seasons of NFL experience. The other six spots can be occupied by players with any level of NFL experience.
The practice squad can expand to 17 players if a team brings in a player who is part of the NFL’s International Player Partnership Program, as the league will grant one exception per team for such players. Punter Oscar Chapman, who was with the Vikings during training camp, would get such an exception if the team decided to bring him back to the practice squad and potentially serve as insurance for incumbent Ryan Wright.
I have seen nothing yet. If you see anything, please keep it rolling here.
Inquiring minds want to know.
For me curious to see if we can add Murphy and Vaughn to the practice squad. I was actually more surprised at the Vaughn cut than the Murphy cut due to the lack of depth.
Umm . . . only Reddy Steward (Cowboys) and Dorian Mausi (Titans) claimed. Everyone else eligible for the practice squad.
RB Valladay and WR Dontae Fleming to the PS as well.
CB Vaughn just signed.
So far, it looks like this:
Gabe Murphy - Edge/LB
Xazavian Valladay - RB
Donte Fleming - WR
Taki Taimani - DL
Zemaiah Vaughn - CB
12 to go

11 to go. You can PS 16 and a only 17th if you have an International player as one of the PS. We could bring the Australian punter back and let him practice holding for a whole season.

I was making that assumption already. It's a freebie exemption...I assumed that they probably would take advantage of that in case Wright wet the bed.
Okay, this is a little early (not announced) but for what it's worth:

Also the same source said Every NFL team is allotted 16 practice squad spots, along with one international exemption, which Minnesota plans to use on Australian punter, Oscar Chapman.
BTW, the official Vikings website lists Max Pircher as the International Player Pathway practice squad designation.
Which means there is apparently room for one more on PS.

beat me to it. So the aussie punter has been told to go home and work on holding.
