The first NFL roster cutdown deadline to reduce from 90 to 53 players occurs on August 27, 2024, at 4 p.m. ET. 

While some teams might make earlier trims, the official deadline is for the final reduction to a 53-player roster, which can be maintained throughout the regular season.
