Just shows how much I know.   I thought he would be an every down starter by this stage in his career.   Maybe a fresh start somewhere else may help.

There were a few here that thought the same...

I never understood his fit in the defense and his size didn't help his cause. I guess this leaves Chandler and Nailor as the only draft picks still standing from that brutal 2022 draft class, and Chandlers on shaky ground himself. Woof..

An early release probably gives him a chance to catch on with another team. He flashed as a rookie in Donatell's defense. But I don't think he was a very good fit with how Flores likes to use his LBs. Ty Chandler and Jalen Nailor are now the only players left from that horrible 2022 draft.

The top 4 are pretty clear and they could have kept him in case there was an injury, so a pretty classy move to let him have a chance to sign with someone else.

Cutting him frees up 1.4 million in cap space

Chandler is in danger of being replaced by a younger less expensive RB, especially if he can pick up the blitz!
And for all the hype about speedy coming in to camp bigger and more fit, he hasn't shown out as much as I expected so far.
Kwesi and staffs, player evaluation skills come into question every time one of these guys gets cut.

Not surprised at all by this. Never grasped Flores defense which made him expendable.

That was my exact thought as well.  A decent backup that deserves a shot elsewhere.

Pace stole his spot and has never looked back.  And with the run game becoming more important in offenses, we needed bigger bodies on D.
