Going to be interesting to watch it unfold, will he live up to the hype? Good kid. Big, athletic guy....more athletic than Peyton and Eli. Some fans don't realize that Cooper, his Dad and brother of Peyton and Eli, was a big time recruit at WRer but his spinal issues nipped his college career. University of Texas fans have HUGE expectations.
Weird thing: he's only 9 months younger than JJ McCarthy.

We'll see what he's got soon enough. The Longhorns first game is at defending national champion Ohio State.
Yes sir, looking forward to that one. Just like a certain JJM on the road on MNF in Chicago.

I think he's going to be really good. I'd be surprised if he declares after this season though. I think he sticks in college for at least two more years with NIL and putting enough tape out there for NFL evaluators.
I do as well. There will be some 'Planning for Manning' tanking going on for some teams the year he declares.

Interesting question posed by the OP. Is Arch Manning the most hyped QB ever? It's hard to argue he's not. Because of his name, people have been following him since high school. The only other QBs I remember who might have had similar hype were his Uncle Peyton and Andrew Luck. To a lesser degree, Trevor Lawrence, maybe Heath Shuler. Caleb Williams is up there too. Who remembers the big Winston vs. Mariota debates? Neither side was right. And in looking over ALL the other busts (Mirer, Leaf, Leinart, Sanchez, Trubisky, Wentz, etc) makes me want to slow the roll a bit on our guy...for now...
The question is: when is the last time a QB named Manning didn't work out? We know the answer to that one. Pretty crazy, but the odds are VERY GOOD that Arch will as well....will be fun to watch. Easy kid to root for, hard worker.

The Manning clan with the blessing of the league is going to orchestrate where Arch goes. If New Orleans has the first pick which is a strong possibility, I can see him declaring.
Well, neither Peyton or Eli played for the Saints, so this won't have much to do with it. Would they love it? 100%. Will it matter which team has the #1 pick in relation to whether Arch declares or not? 100%. What they don't want is a situation the patriarch, Archie, went through....that being New Orleans was the WORST franchise in the NFL when he was drafted in 1971. I mean horrific.

I hope with all my soul... the Saints end up one spot shy of where young Manning gets taken.
Yep. You can blame Sean F*cking Payton for my extreme dislike of the Saints.

This made me laugh....not sure if this was a Midwest thing or not, but we always would say as teenagers: 'He's going to cream his jeans' over this or that. 'Don't cream your jeans about it', etc. lol.

The #Rams reportedly have Arch Manning as the clear QB1 compared to the other guys coming out and covet him as a succession plan post-Matthew Stafford, according to
@CharlesRobinson
A high ranking Rams source even told him they’d still pursue manning if Stafford continues playing in 2026.
