Forget about what I think about MAGA, this hat looks ridiculous in this setting. Maybe if he were out fishing or golfing...

C'mon, you gotta admit the hat is kinda silly in what looks like a war room?

And what are those scarves?

Juneteenth?

Masks make me think about 2021 time frame?

I don't put you in the "petty" crowd, but I think your feelings on the guy dictate your opinion here.  I think the guy wants to portray the power of the US across all avenues, and this is his brand.  It speaks volumes to our foreign friends and foes alike that we've moved on from where we were the last four years.  That's important to Trump's international message.

Yah, its a good call. I suspect my personal feelings are coloring my lens just a bit... ;)

He is on brand, but I cant help but also feel it looks just silly for a POTUS in such a powerful venue.

shrug

Ceasefire has been announced.  Iran cited the hat as the biggest reason.  ?

That was from the George Floyd fallout,  such a ridiculous attempt for publicity.  The scarves I believe are a traditional African garment,   Uganda i believe.

Yea,  I think the hat is silly, but it is his TM,  he wears those damn things all the time.  See him more with the hat than without it I think.

I think he obviously wore the hat to the NATO meetings getting them to ante up 5% of their budgets towards defense. That's a big deal.

Maybe, I outta start wearing that thing? Lol, no.

5% is a good result and the right thing to do in this geopolitical climate.

I'm watching two things right now:
Is Iran up/running with nukes again by halloween?
Where is all that enriched uranium they've been producing and hiding?

Somewhere out there is the truth the Potus speaks vs the truth his own intelligence community speaks.

Wait, wait, wait.  You do understand that the information received yesterday was from a source in the intelligence agency that has very low intelligence access, was stated with low confidence, and via a reporter that was at the forefront of releasing information on the Steele Dossier and the claim that Hunter Biden's laptop was disinformation as validated by 53 intelligence officials?  In other words, it was a leak from a noncredible source that was looking to damage Trump.  We've seen this story 100 times.  Information from Israel, the IAEA, and other parts of our intelligence are much more bullish.  The worst-case scenario is that Iran escaped with 900 lbs. of 60% enriched uranium, which Israel (who knows more than anyone, maybe including Iran) disputes.  There are no means to enrich this to a solid state.  Even in a theoretical world, if iran were to have this capability then bombing would still be the right strategy, and you'd actually be asking for us to continue bombing more.  That is, unless you think it's okay for the craziest muslim radical regime in the world to have nukes.

The real story here yet to be told is how forcefully Trump and the Israelis set the terms and enforcement of No Nukes.  We are unquestionably in a much better situation today than we were just a few days ago.  I don't see how anyone can argue differently.  If Iran persists on being Iran, we will need to address it, but Trump is giving peace a chance and is in a MUCH better negotiating position.  I don't think there's any way to argue differently.

I think it's just way too early to tell either way. The situation regarding the state of their nuclear programs is going to take a while to sort out and understand.

Which is why I was surprised Trump was so adamant so early, it lost transparency and credibility for me. At the end of the day, I probably trust the Israeli intelligence the most.

I think Trump's hair is thinning even more and the hat is his safety blanket.  I noticed when he de-planed Air Force 1 in Holland, he was wearing a USA ball cap.  Probably didn't have the stylist there to weave the hair at just the right coverage.

Probably some truth to that...

Its no longer orange either.

He's 79, I'd welcome that hairline for me now - and I'm lots younger than him.
