It's a pretty remarkable fact. Not just that he leads it, but that his numbers are big, twice that of 5th place Josh Allen. So what's this about? I tend to think that since JJ's a very young, good-looking, well-spoken guy he's probably signing endorsement deals we don't even know about yet. I also think Viking fans have been craving a new jersey to buy for a long time, and he's the only new jersey on this list.

Plus he has not screwed up yet, have a viewpoint on anything or said something stupid to alienate some group.
He is still a blank canvas with all the pluses you mentioned and no negatives thus making it easy for people to gravitate towards.

The remarkable thing is how he's done this... silently? Where are all the ads featuring this kid if he's doing all these endorsements I wonder. Maybe locals are getting hammered with them?

I have a feeling the deals were signed early on and the ads/promos won't see the light of day until the upcoming season. Another part of this might be that JJ's deal, since it's new, like all new contracts, is just higher than previous deals due to simple inflation.
