Just watched the trailer. Wasn’t expecting anything but, holy crap. This might be good. FX.

Dept Q is exactly what I like. I'm four episodes in and it's good, but my God, Morck's never-ending hostile and sarcastic attitude about EVERY DAMN THING is starting to wear thin.

I also can't get it out of my head that Goode looks exactly like that kid in the doctor show.

Sounds superhero-ish and the last superhero movie I watched was at least 9 spidermans ago.

Thats a high bar...

For me, few meet that criteria

Godfather 1 & 2
LOTR
Pulp Fiction

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Raiders of the Lost Ark sits alone on that list for me. But these days I'm much more into dialogue than action. Margin Call and Spotlight are what I consider near perfect movies and I'd rather watch one of those for the 10th time over an action, fantasy or science fiction movie. My kids hate it when I fast-forward fighting and car chase scenes. I just find them incredibly boring. It's like a guitar or drum solo at a concert. Time to get a beer.

We watched Titanic: Digital Resurrection last night on HULU

What they are able to recreate with all the digital scans and the questions they can finally answer regarding the iceberg and wreckage is pretty mind blowing.

ITs a quick one hour for sure!

Took my own advice and watched again last night. Forgot how good the soundtrack was.

Did you start VEEP yet?

Been too slammed...My 91 year old dad passed late April and we're preparing the townhome for mkt now.

He's been there 33 years. Saved, laminated and dated (EVERYTHING)

Ugh...

I think its a generational thing...Similar behavior from my in-laws who were in their 3 story home for 60 years.

Grandpa built shelves in every inch, filled each one and filled the garage attic too.

Looking around at our own place now with a new lens. Dont want to leave the same mess.

PS: Your Friends and Neighbors with Jon Hamm turned out to be very good. Apple TV+

If my old man started randomly fast-forwarding stuff mid-movie, I'd be kinda mad too not gonna lie :P

Currently watching Say Nothing. Fiancé had a black cab tour in Belfast today. Tour guide said the series is historically accurate.

Regarding Alien- I'll have to check out the new trailer! Big fan of the franchise and sci fi in general. The last few movies all sort of blended together in my mind but this is going to be a TV show right? The setup would seem to lend itself well to a show. Battlestar Galactica with a monster on board.

What I've been watching lately--

Rewatched all of the Mission Impossibles. Fun, easy watches and I'm hoping to see the new one soon.

Rewatched The Last Dance for about the 4th time. Huge MJ fan. Fascinating doc.

Rewatched Titanic. First time seeing it in 4K on a nice TV so that was cool. Classic movie. I'll check out that doc, PF! Thanks for posting.

Ransom Canyon-- Netflix show that's like Yellowstone x Friday Night Lights. Wife likes it, it's decent.

NBA Playoffs-- IND is fun but OKC is tough

=============================================

EDIT- Speaking of Yellowstone! I know we had some fans of the show on here. What the heck happened! I loved that show and don't think I even watched the final season. Seemed like some off the field drama totally derailed a great show here. Should I give the last season a shot?

Yellowstone really humped the bunk. Just fell off a cliff. But, I’d watch Kelly Reily read a ketchup packet.

This new Alien series does look really good. Looking forward to watching it.

I watched the new Predator movie (animated) over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. It was done really well.

I was more than a little skeptical about an animated Predator movie. Very well done.

Speaking of the Godfather, have you seen the stills from the upcoming movie on Marlon Brando? Billy Zane—yes, that Billy Zane from Titanic—plays Brando and the resemblance is insane.
