This will eventually lead to Matt Flynn 2.0 with Jalen Milroe reprising the role of pre goofy Russell Wilson.

I think Mike McDonald got his own Lamar Jackson.

Darnold is going to whither behind that porous Seattle OL.

Oh my...what the hell is it about Sam Darnold that does this? I swear, any other QB in the NFL can throw a couple picks in his first public practice in a new offense and nobody gives it a 2nd thought. Sam does it and suddenly "is he still your starting QB"? LOL.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making an NFL GM give Sam Darnold a bag of money to be his starter.

This is the same fan base and media who just went through 3 years of Geno Smith, Darnold will be an improvement and will be okay there. He has a cannon of an arm and can really sling it into tight spaces , is much more mobile than given credit for and he has a good feel for the pocket. He is not going to be NFL elite, but he will be a solid starter who will do his part to help them win games.

Its that OL oh my...

I feel bad for Sammy, I'm sure he was salivating to sign here, especially after FA dust settled

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Darnold is going to Darnold at the end of the day. Major reason that despite his regular season success, I shed no tears seeing him leave in free agency. Seattle played this right though getting younger at the position and having a succession plan behind the starter in a high upside rookie. So Seattle won, Darnold won, and the Vikings won in this equation

1 ply toilet paper vs a Taco Bell binge is sturdier. It’s going to be brutal.

They did draft Grey Zabel, but the right side of that line is still ass. As bad as the Vikings OL was at times last year, it was still better than Seattle's.

This seemed predictable. KOC made Darnold relevant again. Seattle will help him vanish with the ghosts. If Daniel Jones had stayed he would have increased his payday and shelf life in the long term. Jones and Darnold will become members of the same club.

I'm not saying Uncle Sammy might not play well or win some games this year in Seattle, my point is more he's got a really short leash with the fanbase. I don't know what was gained for them by letting Geno Smith go and replace him with Darnold: is that a win? And for whom? You can argue its either a push or even a slight downgrade for the Seahawks. That's why they play the games, but it was interesting how surprised Geno was by the trade. I know he's happy to be reunited with Pete Carroll, but he still was shocked.

I think it was a fairly low-cost shot on landing a potential franchise QB.

Geno Smith is 34. Sam Darnold turned 28 today. Smith will always be that same guy. Sure, that same guy has a much higher floor than Darnold, but nowhere near the ceiling. With Darnold, the arm talent is elite if you can replicate some of the things he did in Minnesota.

It was worth the shot IMO. If he works out for them, they can avoid the whole drafting a QB crapshoot , which would be a big W for them.

I think Dimes has a very good shot at being the starter in Indy...I didnt blame him for leaving here, he's younger, wants to start and JJM was going to get every "inside track" opportunity to do that in Minny.

Thought Dimes could use a year to learn, regroup, showcase himself during preseason, possibly get an opportunity to play if an injury occurs. Then next year let the spin machine tell everyone how much he has grown blah blah blah. I think in Indy he will get an opportunity but I don't see a great team and staff helping him be successful. So my guess he will play and suck then be left with the he sucks label.

Per Shane Steichen - QB Anthony Richardson is dealing with a shoulder injury and will not participate in mini-camp next week.

After the pep talk KOC gave him during the game we won that he didn't play last year, my guess is that he would say the same thing JJ and Calab have pretty much said after talking to the QB whisperer.... "I would run through a wall for that man!"
