The more time that goes this offseason, the more 'relatives' I seem to have in the sports media. Its impossible to not be won over by this kid and then by proxy, what this teammates are telling anyone with a microphone.

I don't think anyone was crowning us offseason champs last year. Don't confuse Viking's fans optimism in the offseason to thinking the rest of the NFL was crowning Minnesota anything. But zero doubt that the final bite is always bitter come January in Vikingland. 

But things can change. The NFL has surprised me a bit with how much they've been propping up the Vikings with nationally visible games and the intro on the NFL Madden '26 game that's dropping is all Minnesota, including inside US Bank, the Skol Chant and the Gjallarhorn. I think they like the KOC and JJM combo and Minnesota usually plays exciting football. Something feels different.
