Surprised we haven't heard more about the camp.  Thought they usually come out with an article on the full camp on Sunday or Monday and potentially have some corresponding moves if they sign some of the prospects that were invited to camp to the roster.  There appeared to be 2-3 invitees that had the potential to shine, but so far no news, likely means everything stays the same.

Yah, pretty pretty quiet...

I know Moss' kid was trying out, but not much outside of that.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Yeah, that article is from Friday the open practice.  Haven't had much info since then.

Vikings signed two players today that attended rookie camp:

Elijah Williams, DT, Morgan State
Williams came into the week highly touted and left showing he was worthy of the hype. He was the best player in attendance all week long, in my humble opinion. He even backed it up with a sack in the game on Saturday, but his spot was solidified before we ever kicked off. If you like production, Williams had plenty of it at Morgan State, posting 30-plus sacks and 50-plus tackles for loss in his four seasons. The knock on him will be size (6-2, 294, 32 1/4-inch arms, 8 7/8-inch hands). I get it, but I've heard my colleagues Bucky Brooks and Daniel Jeremiah, of the Move the Sticks Podcast, say many times over the years that sack production has a good chance of translating to the NFL. This guy has it. Williams would not be the first defensive lineman to face those types of questions and answer them resoundingly when given an opportunity at the next level. I'll be interested to see what impact he can make if he gets a chance to go to work every day in an NFL camp.

OLB/DE Matt Harmon

Williams was 1 of the 2 primary individuals I was looking at. I think he really could flash.   Tommi Hill was the other - injuries or attitude or both were likely holding him back and it looks like the Vikings even after getting a look weren't willing to give him a continued opportunity.   To have 2 invitees get signed is pretty good overall.  It was also apparent the coaching staff was also pleased with the performance of Zemaiah Vaughn.   Still not a full report on the camp- which is ok.   Overall appears to be a pretty productive rookie camp.

There was no real news on the Vikings website on the mailbag section, that we didn't already know (no reference to these two signings when I looked earlier).
I guess we wait for another presser with KOC which will spawn fresh meat in the news cycle for the next five days, right?

The Vikings made two signings on defense Monday afternoon following their three-day rookie minicamp over the weekend at TCO Performance Center in Eagan.

Outside linebacker Matt Harmon and defensive lineman Elijah Williams bring Minnesota’s roster to 91 players, including Australian punter Oscar Chapman, who has a practice squad exemption as part of the International Player Pathway program.

That means the Vikings have maxed their roster for the offseason. They will cut to the in-season 53-man roster in late August.

The Vikings brought in 14 drafted players and undrafted free agents on offense and 10 on defense for rookie camp. Harmon and Williams were among the additional 20 players who attended on a tryout basis, a group that also included former Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss’ son, Montigo Moss.

Harmon, a 25-year-old from Rockwood, Mich., spent seven seasons playing for Kent State. He appeared in 49 games, peaking at 14 in 2021 and 12 last season, and recorded 105 tackles, four sacks, an interception, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Harmon (6-foot-6, 240 pounds) set career bests in total tackles (56), tackles for loss (6.5) and sacks (2) in 2024.

Williams, 22, played four seasons at Morgan State. He was the MEAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2024 after a career-best 11 sacks, bringing his total for the Bears to 31. He also made 216 career tackles, forced three fumbles and recovered one. Williams (6-foot-3 and 270 pounds) is originally from Jersey City, New Jersey.

The Vikings will hold their first days of organized team activities May 27-28. Mandatory minicamp is set for June 10-12.

Haven't hit the meat yet of the offseason, OTAs coming up in a few days/weeks and into June. This last rookie camp was really just getting new  guys exposed to the facilities and see them out on the field.

The news cycle on this camp was just really light compared to last year.   Overall from what we can gather it was pretty solid.   KOC also did a video segment on the draft picks on Monday  which gave some glimpses as well.   Here is what I have taken away from everything I've seen. I will avoid Jackson.

1. Tai Felton -  the initial reports had stated he was a good route runner,  based on KOC he effectively stated a lot of the routes Felton ran are not pro concepts, more get to an area an get open.  They do incorporate some of that but I don't think he is near the technician that Addison was or is.  What he does have is elite speed and very good body control and hands.   I think he is an upgrade over Nailor.  The other thing he mentioned about him from the camp is for being a speedy guy,  he is bigger and longer arms that a lot of the defenders were expecting.  He has a solid 2 inches and 10 lbs on Addison.  I think if things go well he will add an additional wrinkle of not only someone you can send deep - like Nailor,  but has the potential to do more the intermediary routes and be more successful with the run after the catch.  For draft picks we haven't missed on single WR they have drafted.  All have outperformed their draft slot by a significant margin.  I feel pretty optimistic with this pick that it will play out just as well.

2. Ingram - Dawkins -  KOC stated emphatically if they didn't pick him when he was available that Flo would have jumped up and killed him LOL.   For someone who I thought had low production,  actually his production was much better than I expected.  His athletic ability is top notch,  and he fits the defense like a glove.  They are really high on him for being a 5th round pick.

If the Vikings focuses were those 3 positions,  I am not sure you could have ended up with a better group.

3. Kobe King -  Just a straight up baller.   I am sure they will work on his coverage skills, and they can hide him a bit more in our defense,  but for a 6th round pick you are getting immense production, leadership and toughness.   Its been mentioned a few places, but he came acrossed as probably the most polished, prepared and dominant player at the camp.   Pretty good for a 6th round pick.  I really expect him to bring confidence and competence to the linebacker position like Ivan Pace.

The only other player who really flashed on both days was Vaughn.  He will be one to keep our eyes on whether he can make the roster.

Its also pretty clear they have a high opinion of Brosmer.  Its as good of a situation as you could hope to go to, so was likely a no brainer for Brosmer.

All in all,  a bit more info out there if willing to look for it,  but just reaffirmed some of the info we heard from the draft.
