I've been to China probably 100 times in my life. I love the Country and the people..hate the government and it's complete control over its population. It's extremely optimistic to think that China will go quietly. Xi needs a face saving way of solving this or the party will replace him.

I agree it's not going to go down easy, but I do think the way Trump is managing will result in major concessions. In fact, I'm not sure how it can't. Trump is utilizing leverage and understanding his limitations. China would go back to the days of old in a heartbeat, but that's not going to happen. They will save face, but there will be a major restructuring.
