I cant watch an NBA game for more than 12 minutes. But I am rooting for the Wolfies vs LA.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

The NBA to me doesn't get interesting until the playoffs. Then I tune in.

Ant and the Timberwolves look like they are primed for another deep playoff run.

Same. I couldn't be less of a fair-weather fan about the Vikings. I couldn't more of a fair-weather fan about the NBA. They could completely eliminate the regular season and I wouldn't miss it a bit.

My Celtics may repeat, but if they can't...then I want the Wolves to get it. Knocking LA around is always fun to watch.

KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....

Also same.   I'm still heavily invested in the Vikings.  I'm less invested in every other sport.  NBA is mostly an unwatchable sport.  I did really like the Wolves last year as that felt like old-school basketball.  This year, I watched the recap of the last game, mostly out of nostalgia for last year.

I'm definitely rooting for all 4 Minnesota teams because it's been too long since one has been in a final. And it's very hard to watch basketball, there is an uncalled traveling every 45 seconds.

I can't watch for 5 minutes. The flopping, the whining for calls, the shitload of missed 3 pointers, its garbage. I'm rooting for the T-Wolves also, although I used to be a Pistons fan back in the day when it was still basketball. There's a thousand sports dollys as sideline reporters to look at, so I'm jaded. Call me to the TV when the South American/Latina weather girls come on....

Antman, Superman, Lakers in FIVE lol

I actually hope the media keeps picking against them. Love seeing this team play with a chip on its shoulder.

Gobert and Randle were MVPs in Game 5.

But can they end the 34 year Minnesota drought?

That is hard to say. We had Garnett and couldn't get it done. Edwards has the chance to; he is that good. I think Garnett had a harder league to compete with at times. Problem this series, they had no answer for the big. They would have been better off against us with Davis IMO.

Well you gotta get through a loaded Western Conference first and then Boston is likely the favorite to come out of the East again.

OKC will be tough because the refs love sending Shai to the line 15-20 times per game.

Golden State with Butler in the mix will be a tough team too if they can close out Houston.

Ant is only 23, but he's already playing like a top 5 guy in the league.  Think the Timberwolves have a great shot to win it all over the next couple years with this team if they can keep adding some role players.

McDaniels had a bad game and what seemed to be picked on by the refs in game 5. We still overcame that. Ant is only 23, we have a shot if we can continue to add around him as you say. Boston and Cleveland are tough out the east. OKC is the only team I fear in the West. That team is young and talented.

There's one you missed.  The WNBA Lynx.  They were seconds away from winning it all last year.

They don't have to win against the East in the finals, they just have to get there to break the drought.

Well, if you want to count them then the drought has already ended. They won it in 2017 and have a few more trophies.

But the drought of the men's sports would still be going.

True that. The women's teams win. The Lynx have 4 titles and the MN Frost (women's hockey) won the championship last year

I watched so much NBA when I was young it was insane. Now I never watch, don't even know most of the players.

But I have to say that Ant is fun to watch and gets me interested. The winning doesn't hurt either.

I still don't really want to sit through a game. I just look at the scoreboard once or twice then watch the highlights afterwards. Maybe if they make the finals I'll watch a game or two.
