Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
21 years old. He flashed at the senior bowl. Some thought if he returned to Georgia he might be a 1st round next year. Sounds like a stud in 2 years
The #Vikings are taking Georgia defensive tackle Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins with their first fifth-round pick. They’d hosted him on a top-30 visit, after he’d posted the fastest 10-yard split (1.69 seconds) among defensive tackles at the combine.

Elite 10 yard split. Excellent triangle numbers. A 1.71 ten yard is considered elite, he went 1.69. Traits.

Insane athlete to learn from Allen and Hargreave.
No guarantees in the draft, but betting on developmental freak athlete defensive linemen is about as good a bet as any pic.twitter.com/RG6ho2OzXx

Traits.

Luv this pick for those very reasons...Gets to learn from some good DT vets in front of him.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

— Minnesota Vikings (@Vikings) April 26, 2025F Ryan Grigson....but intriguing pick. Everybody and their mother knew we had high interest in him
Everyone kept giving us the 310 lb DT or the 330 lb NT. Until Flores actually shows the least bit of interest in one, I think we can safely say that's not one of his top priorities.
I think BFlo has a "type." I think he likes the longer, leaner players for his 5-techs. They go unnoticed a lot because they're not edges and they're not DTs. They're tweeners. Shemar Stewart, 6-5, 280; Sai'vion Jones 6-5, 290. Tyrion Ingram Dawkins 6-5, 280.
New Vikings defensive tackle Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, a South Carolina native who played at Georgia, said he’d never been to the Midwest before the Vikings asked him to come to their Eagan headquarters for a pre-draft visit this month.
That’s when Ingram-Dawkins, the Vikings’ fifth-round pick at No. 139 overall, decided he wouldn’t mind returning.
“Fell in love with it,” he said. “Fell in love with the facilities, the coaching staff, and just the style of play. All in all, I’m very excited to get up to Minnesota and get in that Brian Flores defense.”
General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah said evaluators see a rare blend of size (6-5, 276 pounds) and athleticism in Ingram-Dawkins, who started just 10 games over four seasons playing for stacked Bulldogs defensive lines.
Whatever he lacks in production — just four sacks in four years — the Vikings see him making up for in potential.
“Somebody that was really intriguing to us in the film process,” Adofo-Mensah said. “Versatility is something we crave for our defense and he stuck out. ... Set the edge, working outside-in, and in the rush game has some ability to win over guard. He has a unique skill set. It’s not refined yet, but there’s some stuff in there that’s pretty unique.”
Ingram-Dawkins made a strong impression on Vikings evaluators at the Senior Bowl, the annual college all-star game in January, before they invited him to TCO Performance Center.
“When you get to meet the person, that’s when you close the loop,” Adofo-Mensah said. “You see he’s incredibly intelligent and self aware. He knows the things he needs to work on and pointed to things he can get better at.”
Ingram-Dawkins hails from the same neighborhood as former Vikings receiver Sidney Rice, who had 1,312 yards and eight touchdowns in 2009. He described a close relationship with Rice, who like Ingram-Dawkins graduated from Gaffney High School in South Carolina, and their families.

Does Ingram-Dawkins = Danielle Hunter?
6'5" 276 lbs v. 6'5" - 262 lbs
Started 10 games over 4 years for Georgia v. 23 starts in 3 years for LSU
Not an every-game starter, excellent athlete with measurables, that may take time to develop.
I don't think he will be a true DT in this defense. He will be an end and edge guy I believe. I love the pick, freak and plays hard. Just surprised we didn't get a true DT from this draft.

Hunter was very much an edge, a 3-4 OLB or a 4-3 DE. I think Ingram Dawkins is more of a 3-4 end, or 5T. Ourlads has him listed at edge for us, but I think that's wrong. I think he'll put on 5-10 lbs and compete with Jalen Redmond and Levi Drake Rodrigues for rotational time behind Allen and Hargrave.

Wasn't aware he was a 5-star recruit. I read that he started as a 6-5, 300 lb DT and shed 20 lbs to play end at GA. Really liking our depth at DE with Hargrave, Allen, Jalen Redmond, Drake-Rodriquez and Ingram-Dawkins. I think the Vikings might have something in Redmond. LDR was the hype of last year's draft, but he might have a hard time making the team with TID being added to the mix.
My favorite draft pick for the Vikings has quickly become Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins.

He’s only 21 and has a fantastic athletic profile. Now he gets a chance to learn from Javon Hargrave and Jonathan Allen. Excited to see how he develops. pic.twitter.com/eHAmdSA4T3

Tyrion Smith-Dawkins is a bit reminiscent of Danielle Hunter when he came out of LSU. Not quite the same long speed but the same twitch and natural length. #Vikings pic.twitter.com/OTARcnPJKT

Kevin Williams-esque. TID is more that build and player than Hunter IMO.
RAS wise he’s on par with Milton Williams. Size wise he’s similar to Jihad Ward. He’s sudden like Kevin Williams. Nothing he does screams Hunter to me either.
