Vikings will try hard to trade down but will find no takers. They will, however, trade down from 97 into the 4th round, drawing a 4th rounder in return, and with multiple comp picks next year will trade a ’26 3rd rounder for a ’25 4th rounder, giving them three 4ths, hitting Kwesi’s target of 6 total picks.

I feel (supremely...modestly...not at all) confident that our 1st pick will be either Donovan Jackson, Tre Henderson or Derrick Harmon. I’ll go with Jackson. I think the compulsion to draft a player who can stand in for Darrisaw until he’s ready is real. I think Booker is a great intangible fit, but questionable scheme fit, that safety and running back can wait, and the Vikings intend to shore up CB with a veteran.

1.24 - Donovan Jackson, G/T (Alt: Derrick Harmon, DT or Tre Henderson, RB)
4a - Sai’vion Jones, DL (Alt: Demetrius Knight, LB)
4b - Jonas Sanker, S (Alt: Yahya Black, DL)
4c - Jeffrey Bassa, LB (Alt: Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB)
5.139 - Brashard Smith, RB (Alt: Zah Frazier, CB, Bilhal Kone, CB)
6.187- Ben Yurosek, TE (Alt: Thomas Fidone II, TE )

Players the Vikings might pick early that will raise some eyebrows: Aireontae Ersery, OT, Carson Schwesinger, LB

Vikings post draft players: Willie Lampkin, Kalel Mullings, RB, Zion Childress, S, Bilhal Kone, CB, Nazir Stackhouse, NT, Max Brosmer, QB, Warren Brinson, DT, Jacob Bayer, IOL, Cody Lindenberg, LB, Chandler Brayboy, WR

Anything's possible, but I think you'll be embarrassed by this post in 6 months. OLs? DLs? DBs? WRs? Yep. But level of comp is almost a non factor for RBs. Dude, watch him run.

He had zero around him at bsu. Nothing.Nada. Zilch.

... And they made the BCS?

Jenty is a complete bad ass.

Maroon got me on Jackson a couple month ago. I ended with saying I want him. He just has it. Great pick for us

That was a helluva call. In MB We Trust.

Any interest in giving me the six numbers for tomorrow's NC Powerball? I'll split the $168M with you.

I understand golf about as much as I understand Chinese algebra, so I'm clueless what the hell he's talking about here. I guess maybe 4 hits out of 4 is just as good as 4 hits out of 7? I don't think the law of averages works quite like this.

Where was this philosophy when Hamilton was sitting in the fairway for us to take and instead he went into the rough with a driver and got Cine  :)

Not to fluff my boy, but he did accurately predict 3 guys we’d acquire over the draft. Plus was within 3 slots of nailing Sanker as well.

A privilege to debate, dissect and discuss with you my good friend.

I'm still reeling over Sai'vion Jones. I think there's a reason Denver moved one spot ahead of us in the 3rd round to take him. I think the Vikings looked at the teams between 97 and 102 and saw no suitors for Jones so they traded back in an attempt to acquire another pick. But you can't predict a team jumping into that area.

Was Tai Felton a backup option after Jones went? We may never know for sure. But I find it interesting that there were only about 4 or 5 of what I would consider prototype BFlo 5T/4i's. Sai'vion Jones was one, Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins was another, and that's the guy we took with our next pick.

Yurosek was a TE I read a lot on. I think he made a mistake going to GA after his injury season at Stan. He had a productive So and Jr year and then didn't do much at GA. I am a GA fan, but I think that team was a bit overrated last year. I had him as the TE we were going to draft, when I saw he went undrafted, I guessed we would try and pick him up. I believe he will make the team. Sai'vion Jones I loved and was vocal about it. I thought that was going to be our pick at 97 after Xaiver Watts went off the board, truly felt Watts would have been the pick. We traded back and took Felton, a guy the Vikings did a lot of work on. KOC loves the kid it seems. Really good player that has work ethic and loves the game from what it seems. Ingram-Dawkins was a nice backup option for us after Jones, even though I think Jones is going to be better than expected. We both know how I felt about Jackson.

I said it when you posted, you had great guys in your mock. Perfect needs and fits for the Vikings. Very nice job.
