JMO, NIL is way worse. Players very much deserve to get paid for their name, image and likeness: but this way? Scotty Pippen's son hit the portal the DAY that Michigan played in their Sweet 16 game against Auburn during March Madness. Players going from team to team to team each year and hit the NFL Draft at 26 years old? $11 million to pull Underwood away from LSU so he can go to Michigan? College basketball and football coaches are retiring rather than deal with this shit, its nuts. Saban said it was a big reason why he retired from Alabama. Listen, were guys getting paid by alum before NIL? Of course. Story as old as time. But a select few and nothing to this magnitude. There has to be some kind of structure or rules enforced and by somebody else other than the grotesque whores at the NCAA. They had their indentured servants for far too long, but now they've gone to the other extreme.

Its all about which team's 'collective' can pull enough money. So these collectives are just like PACs in politics. If you're lucky enough to have some very wealthy alumni then you'll be more than ok.
