Did anyone else catch that this week? Not sure if it was KOC that said it at the meetings, but when they signed Kelly, he said I can get Spud (his name for Fries) to come here. Vikings were like hell yes, let's do this. I guess Minnesota thought they wouldn't have a chance because he had SO many suitors and thought he'd get priced out. Very cool anecdotal story, gotta love the Minnesota Vikings culture, facilities and staff....makes a difference. Oh....and the money. :) I knew the story of Kelly recruiting Fries, didn't know the part about Minnesota not attempting to sign him until Kelly said he could get him to come.
And in watching all the interviews that KOC did this week, the guy looks and sounds very confident and satisfied with where they are going and the team he has.

Things really fell into place for us in free agency, with Fries and Kelly coming as a package deal and both Allen and Hargrave getting released. That kind of shit doesn't happen every year.

His drafting is laughably bad, but HE IS the FA King!

All of KAM and KOC's short career dealings as members of the Vikings, adding and subtracting, working through the competitive rebuild to get to this very point: the window with a young QB on a rookie contract. Let's watch!
Fortunately or unfortunately a great deal of that falls on JJM's shoulders.
