He was a five-star QB recruit, and the consensus No. 1 overall ranked high school football player in the nation in the 2025 college football recruiting class. Only reason Michigan was able to secure a talent like this was because of NIL money (Dave Portnoy). Rave reviews already about him from Ann Arbor. He'll be an interesting watch the next few years. 6'4", 210 lbs. at 17 years old and athleticism off the chart. Big arm. Fits the mold of a modern NFL QB.

I am excited to watch him. Teh Portnoy comment made me laugh, it's true, but I laughed. I like Dave. Was that rumor true that Portnoy had a lot to do with getting Underwood to Ann Arbor?
100%. His net worth exceeds $150 million, I believe. He sold a big stake in BarStools Sports and then rebought that stake back for pennies on the dollar. He's an alum of the University of Michigan. He paid personally a big chunk of the rumored $11 or $12 million the Michigan collective gave Underwood.

It practically is pro sports anymore with college football teams hiring General Managers to oversee NIL, finances, and football operations. Stanford GM Andrew Luck just fired his coach a week ago. Bill Belichicks first order if business was to bring in former NFL General Manager Mike Lombardi to be the GM at North Carolina. There has been a lot of conversation about NIL and its effects on college basketball where these smaller colleges were absolutely obliterated in the tournament by the big programs with deep pockets that spent buying high priced recruits. NIL has pretty much eliminated smaller colleges from being able to compete and rendered them irrelevant. Ohio State just won the football national championship after spending in excess of 22 million dollars on their roster. There's got to be a salary cap of some type to level the field and recruits should sign 1, 2, 3 or 4 year commitments to programs where the longer they sign on for, the more money they can make. Coaches shouldn't have to recruit talent on their own rosters year round and should know who will be on their rosters from year to year. It's just completely ridiculous the way it's currently set up.
Its gone from one extreme to the other, its insanity. Beyond ridiculous.

Orji looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane's retarded brother. Really good kid however.

Hello Drew Henson...
Yeah, he was a talented dude that never got traction. But not in Underwood's zip code. Not only is he the top QB prospect, he's the top overall player prospect. Will be fun to watch. Hard to project anything at all other than he's a big time recruit.

Maybe a Cookie Monster?

Underwood Deviled Ham?

Gotta love BarStool and their Ohio State alums writing articles.....good pic for engagement! ;) . My guess is they'll still make it 5 wins in a row even with fatty slinging the rock. Looks like the only thing he's been engaging is the buffet.
