Stingley Breaks The Bank
The top has been blown off the DB market. Sources say #Texans CB Derek Stingley Jr. is the NFL’s new highest paid DB.

Stingley has agreed to terms on a 3-year, $90M deal — $30M per year. The deal done by David Mulugheta of @AthletesFirst includes a whopping $89M guaranteed. pic.twitter.com/sG0tQU3j0U
Didn’t Horn just get the biggest contract ever? These guys are shooting themselves in the foot with these quantum jumps.

Wow, makes me feel better about paying Murphy $18M per year. More proof that the draft is a crapshoot: Jeff Okudah taken 3rd overall in 2020. Complete bust. If he's making more than vetmin, he's overpaid. Derek Stingley taken 3rd overall in 2022. $30M per year.

Kind of makes you think CB has to be pretty high in the draft for us. These contracts are getting crazy.
There is a ZERO percent chance we draft a RB #1. With the market for DTs, CBs and WRs we will not be drafting RB before day 3. In fact, I could see this almost ending all RB picks in the first going forward.
The price point on a competent back vs the rookie price point on premiere positions don't allow you to draft RBs high.
