It'll be interesting to see their plan for QB2. Please tell me they've got a plan.

I would guess as of now he would be pretty close. He has been so good for so long, I figured he would have taken a spot at some point.
His wiki page says he is known by staff as "Rob Zombie" because he is quiet, calm and measured.

Not to be a Debbie Downer or a critic of Brez, but if you click "2026" tab our cap liabilities go up $50M for 2026 and we're $10M over the cap.
I know most of the unused cap space of 2025 rolls over to 2026 but it looks like we're going all in now. I like it.

The contracts are structured as such this year. I don't see 2026 being a big issue.
I'm sure we'll spend quite a bit more, but a little cap space could come in handy in September and October.
O’Neil has a cap number north of $26 this year. $23 next year. At some point he gets restructured big time.

Maybe we’re saving space so we can trade for Justin Herbert :P

Justin grew up a Chargers fan and all the other teams know it, they track that stuff.
He would be an unhappy camper
If he is traded at this point in his career

If I ever need a mid-day nap, I can turn on golf or a Charger game....

This assumes there’s a player with a big contract or deserves a big contract sitting on a team with corresponding cap room to take the hit or the appetite to move a player deserving a big contract.

Maybe Trey Hendrickson. I know, probably not, but maybe.
Eagles big agent splash last year was edge rusher Bryce Huff, 3 years $51M, even though the Eagles were already strong at defensive line. The Eagles kept adding to their defense. Bryce Huff was a bust, at least for last season, as he was a healthy scratch from their Super Bowl roster.
We saw what the Eagles defense did against the Chiefs even without their big free agent signing. You never have too many pass rushers.

We lost about 900 Edge snaps between Jones and Ward. He’s about the same size as Jones about 20 lighter than Ward. I’m not sure he’s a fit with what BFlo wants.
