Will Fries
They're talking about him on purple daily that we're definitely in on him per Doogie. Could be entirely BS.

From what I've been reading this morning, there's no guarantee that the Colts won't resign him.
I would be shocked if the Colts let him leave...
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Is our giant amount of cap space in the room with us now?
Kidding! Kinda

Well they let him hit the open market, that's a big step right there that I didn't think would happen. Now he's being courted by several teams, meaning there's a bidding war that they could easily lose. And I'm sure that's what Fries and his agent were hoping for.
Seems underwhelming so far.
We need 1-2 more CBs, OG and DT.
If Allen is the DT we still have 2-3 holes fill. As well as Danny Dimes now that Sammy and Mullens are gone.

Mullens could be back, this is the Vikings we're talking about.
I think I want Teven Jenkins a little more than Will Fries. Fight me.
Will Fries is a massive upgrade, who would have been a top target for me if I was running the team. He’s a great pass blocker and elite run blocker based on what I’ve read. He’s a legit Hutchinson level of signing.
The only issue is the man is getting paid! Competition has to be fierce right now and the Vikings are definitely in the fray.
OG Will Fries, whom the Vikings are interested in, is expected to make a decision soon, per @DWolfsonKSTP. “Don't expect him to remain on the board much longer.”

If you want to make good on the commitment to build the interior, get out the checkbook.

Budding Colts star could leave Indy for $57 million deal with Jaguars
There's still a chance the Colts look to lock up right guard Will Fries before the legal tampering period opens Monday at noon ET. However, given the buzz he's generating before free agency, the Colts may let him test the market.
If that happens, the typically frugal Chris Ballard very well may end up watching Fries walk in free agency, especially if a bidding war takes place. In that event, Bradley Locker of Pro Football Focus believes the Jacksonville Jaguars will be in play for the budding star.
"With Liam Coen hoping to establish an offensive identity from the get-go — and with Brandon Scherff no longer under contract — the Jaguars will probably pursue an upgrade at right guard this offseason. Fries is on the short list of the best viable options," Locker wrote. "It’s possible that new general manager James Gladstone could beef up the interior by drafting a player like LSU's Will Campbell at Pick No. 5. But with almost $38 million in cap space and the opportunity to poach a player from a division rival, Fries would slot in nicely in Duval County."
It will be interesting to see how the NFL views Fries should he hit the open market. He was enjoying a breakout season at right guard for the Colts in 2024 before a fractured fibula ended his campaign after just five games. Even so, there's plenty of buzz surrounding a better-than-expected market for the 26-year-old.
A former seventh-round pick for the Colts in 2021, Fries has played his way into generational money. The Penn State product is projected to land a four-year, $57.3 million deal in free agency, per Pro Football Focus.
Replacing Fries could be a bit of a challenge, but the Colts did select Matt Goncalves in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He played tackle for the majority of his rookie season, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he kicked inside to guard, especially if right tackle Braden Smith returns (though that's hardly a guarantee).
Ballard has vowed to change his ways when it comes to free agency but if a bidding war takes place, not many around the league would have faith in the Colts general manager winning out.
