I would have had him do less year 1. Less drop backs. It will pay off in the long run. His bend is 1 of 1. His closing speed is insane. Derrick Thomas 2.0. Jordan Love will be Dave Kreig.

Me too...Drinking from a firehose.

This maybe crazy, but I'm still not convinced the 3/4 is our long-term D either.

He played a bit more than people realized. And he had an impact. He will be special this year.

In his rookie season with the Minnesota Vikings in 2024, Dallas Turner played in 16 games, accumulating 300 defensive snaps with 20 tackles, 3 sacks, and an interception.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of Dallas Turner's 2024 season:
Games Played: 16
Defensive Snaps: 300
Tackles: 20 (12 solo)
Sacks: 3.0
Tackles for Loss: 3.0
Interceptions: 1
Passes Defended: 1
Run Defense Snaps: 104
Pass Rush Snaps: 151
Coverage Snaps: 55
Pressures: 12

Needs some muscle weight and he knows it. My guess is he'll be a bit bigger this season. Fingers crossed, he's a young guy we need him to be a playmaker.

He could use some more power, but people expecting him to be Jared Verse are going to be disappointed. He just doesn't have Verse's bull rush and likely never will. Those are two totally different edge rushers with two totally different playing styles. Likewise, Verse will never have Turner's foot speed, bend or athleticism. It would not surprise me at all if in a year or two Turner is the more impactful edge rusher.

Extrapolating that out. A sack every 50 pass rush snaps is about 1/2 sack (on the low side) per game. 9 for the year.
