Trump threatens to pull federal funds for US schools allowing ‘illegal protests’
I bet this wont have unintended consequences. LOL
“All Federal Funding will STOP for any College, School, or University that allows illegal protests,” the US president wrote on Truth Social.
“Agitators will be imprisoned/or permanently sent back to the country from which they came. American students will be permanently expelled or, depending on on the crime, arrested. NO MASKS! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

I saw a few outlets post about this, and the question seems to be:
Does that mean...illegal disruptive protests, like we've seen from the hamas-huggers, or is he talking about protests critical of him?
This will be interesting to watch. Is he acting to protect students and their education, or is he going "full Josef" under Vlad's tutelage?
Stay tuned....

Trump has absolutely no leg to stand on bitching about “violent protests”

Likewise...the Left has no leg to stand on with the gnashing of the teeth on potential lawfare.
You both know this is directed at the antisemetic protests that have largely gone unchecked on campuses. To project differently is silly. Trump has been talking about it for months.

...aaaaaand Trump's word is worth what, again? Even in last night's babble-fest, with all the time in the world to prepare, his numbers were mostly bulls**t (excepting, in the name of actual accuracy, the Southern border immigration numbers), and he/Elon have managed to clear an interesting number of people/departments both investigating them AND vulnerable to creating a jobs program for Musk's people.
The most worrisome part, I don't have to overstate a syllable of that.
Plust the "governor Trudeau" schtick on top of the other classless antics...wow, we keep finding new lows.
I figure the impeachment filings will be starting by summer, adding more drama.

honestly who in politics does? certainly nobody from the left that used race as a tool and the media as a weapon to incite billions in damage and the loss of many lives and many more injuries in that last decade.
I find it funny that so many are getting their panties twisted up by things that Trump and company are doing, despite all the bull shit twisted stories out there that paint the acts in the worst conceivable fictitious light, isnt a secure border, world peace, accountable government spending, all good goals?
even here... even if Trump was responsible ( he fueled the narrative, although I suspect there were others outside of his influence that actually triggered the actions) is his calling for this a reason to turn to the negative? why not just say, thats a good fucking idea and move on?

You just proved my point. Like I said, the Left has no business with gnashing of teeth over potential lawfare. Rep Al Green already announced he was introducing articles of impeachment...a month ago over "Gaza Genocide". Yep...2 weeks into office. He failed three different Impeachment efforts in Trump's first term. Tough to take the Left seriously these days. Looks like Green earned a censure vote last night for leading the "resistance" so maybe that will slow him down...doubt it.

Green made a dumbass move, albeit one consistent with his ridiculousness. He's marginalized himself as a noisy, but inept, camera time whore that's in league with the worst of the dnc. Any moderates that gain a bit of organized support ahead of their statements will have a far better effect, and one that lasts longer.
The left destroyed their own marketability in recent years, by failing at the border, in law enforcement, and the economy. The last is in play to bite Trump's rump hard as well, because that little "incident" coming from all the tariffs will be felt, as every economist has stated, by the same people that voted for cheaper gas and eggs. With cars, building materials, more groceries, and all the cheap Chinese goods getting steeper in coming months, those checkbook votes are going to keep looking for other suitors. It's already started, and will have much more reason with the increased tariffs underway.
The rebuttal by Slotkin was a decent, initial showing by the dnc; having a moderate with public service in her background and unity in her speech contrasts starkly with the very partisan, ugly, and obnoxious rhetoric from team Orange. However, the left has failed to connect with middle America as they've allowed their "Squad" and other extreme elements to define their party for many years. Can they pivot quickly, or are they still too busy cannibalizing themselves?
Stay tuned.

I find it hilarious that the people crying about the tariffs... are the same people that were all about taxing the rich, raising minimum wage, tougher environmental regulations, and on and on with the ways that would raise the costs of goods and services, how were those not going to get passed down to the consumers, but the tariffs are going to destroy our economy and send us into a recession?

While I am opposed to just about everything Trump is doing culturally, I am not opposed to many of the current administrations initiatives underway.
So I can be at least a little open-minded lol!
Re Tarrifs? I am waiting to see (to hear)the benefits they will bring to the country and specifically my household. Right now, I anticipate higher prices from them and they've spooked investors to the point where all S&P 500 gains since the election have gone poof.
Like the DOGE initiatives, the communication of tariff benefits and process to the country has been poor. And I am all for rooting out in-efficiencies, sad so many fed employees are going to be unemployed though.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Can you post this in English please? I think you're complaining about the very well received address and saying Trump made up numbers? Which numbers do you know to be incorrect??

the reports on the shit DOGE is uncovering suggests that a lot more federal employees need to be unemployed. The snowflake responses on tiktok and whatever else from them having to show what they accomplished... holy crap, I dont want to just fire them, I want them to apologize for their existence.

"How much money has the US given Ukraine since Russia’s invasion?
Since February 2022, the United States has allocated $113.4 billion in emergency funding to support Ukraine in wartime.
Updated March 7, 2024 by the USAFacts team"
But, our liar in chief stated:
"The United States has put up far more aid for Ukraine than any other nation, hundreds of billions of dollars," Trump said. "We've spent more than $300 billion, and Europe has spent about $100 billion. That's a big difference."
Later on, in response to a question on whether the U.S. would help with reconstruction in Ukraine after the war, Trump said: "We're in there for about $350 billion. I think that's a pretty big contribution."
Why does anyone believe a syllable from this skidmark? Seriously?

Like transgenic mice?
On the topic of "why does anyone believe this obvious, disastrous bulls**t?":
"he only support for the assertions comes from data posted by DOGE to a newly created website that went live last month. But in the last two weeks alone, DOGE has deleted hundreds of claimed savings, including some of the largest items it had previously boasted about."

This is interesting as I am thinking through how I really feel about it now and how would I feel about it if this were about prosecuting Islamaphobia instead of anti-semitism???
And in full transparency, our household is 1/2 Jewish and 1/2 Christian...We've got a beautiful xmas tree in December, we sing How Great Thou Art at funerals and we make Passover popovers in the spring.
American students will be permanently expelled or, depending on on the crime, arrested.
So these kids dont have a right to voice their opinions peacefully??? The Feds are now telling us whats right to protest and what isnt???
Why am I getting these vibes?

That quote states "depending on the crime"...
We've been playing the game of "mostly peaceful protests" way too long. Lots of people died and lots of financial losses in the peaceful BLM protests.
The only people that were thrown off campuses during the Biden years seemed to be limited to speakers invited by the Young Republicans....
Peaceful protests are a part of our free and open society. People should be able to freely speak...on all sides of the issues...peacefully...for real this time.

100% at the bold, and 4 dead in Ohio and BLM have nothing to do with today. If students peacefully protest what they perceive as Anti-semitic, they should be free to do so and not be prosecuted for it.

My point has been about "disruptive", meaning the lockouts, the "take overs", the bullying/harassment, the inevitable escalation to threats and/or weaponized holocaust references, and the perpetrators hiding behind their keffiyehs.
Knowing the history from a lot of reading over the years, I'm long out of sympathy for most "Palestinian" viewpoints; they elect/appoint/enable people and/or organizations that constantly threaten/attack Jews and Israel, and seem shameless in calling the the death and destruction of both along with the West. That's not "two state", that's simply hostiles being moved into striking range.
On this rare matter, I agree with emperor Chee-To: if they're going to use their energies to attack Israel, move them to the countries so determined to sympathize with hamas. Give Ireland and (sadly) Norway my regards...but please, send most to Iran.
