OT: I had to have the talk, have you???
My 91 year old dad in home hospice now...Lived a good life and got to see great grand babies.
End-state cancer, on avg 6 mos or so. Not a good way to go.
He wants to get out and drive soon as things warm-up. Hard conversation to say you can't drive again.
God bless Hospice, those people are special - true angels and very knowledgable. They were so helpful with my inlaws a few years back too.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
Tough going through this PF - Lost both my folks to cancer.
All I can say is enjoy as much time together as possible.
Lots of love my brother

Sorry to hear that.
With something like Cancer, you can only hope for a quick and peaceful passing.
Sadly, I could do more to hasten my two labradors ending/suffering than I can do for my inlaws or parent.

Sorry to hear, PF. Had the no driving talk with my dad about 10 years ago. He was NOT happy, but the man was a maniac on the roads until we took his keys away. Both he and my mom were in hospice just before they died. But not of cancer, which is surprising since it runs in the family. All four grandparents and two of my brothers died of cancer.
Spot on about hospice workers. I wish this country cared more about its elderly and those who choose a career helping others over more lucrative jobs.
My dad was in pretty bad shape the last year. Went into rapid decline in December. Died the day after President Carter. Didn’t have a chance to get a plane ticket. Would have turned 100 this May.
Sorry you’re going through this now.

My wife passed away after a long health battle. The Hospice nurses and aides were absolutely amazing, not only for her but for me too.
Sorry you're dealing with this PF, it's tough.
