Patrick Mahomes just played as bad a half as you’ll ever see from someone of his stature on a stage of this magnitude.
Long way to go, but that was startling. #SuperBowl
I wonder if Lions fans will look back at 2024 like we do 1998?
I don't think I'd go that far, but its up there for them. Definitely the worst wasted season they've ever had. I think the parallel is they were absolutely convinced their Lions were on cruise control to the Superbowl, although I'm not sure all of VikingNation was quite as convinced of that back in '98 just because of old scars, but it sure seemed like Minnesota's season that year. Losing at home in OT in the NFCC game for Viking's fans is a step above what Detroit fans went through IMO.
The last kick in the nuts for Lion's fans was Campbell not getting COY. Its going to be a cold, long winter in Motown. I shouldn't be so petty and enjoy their misery, but f--k 'em. :P
I figured you'd have some blue/silver in the veins growing-up where you did?
I guess I was wrong!
It was 65% Packer fans and 35% Lions fans in the U.P. When I was 7 years old, an Uncle that I had that lived in Minneapolis visited and dropped all kinds of Vikings swag on me. My Dad was an outdoorsman and not a sports fan so I was wide open for influence. 51 years later here I am in purgatory! ;) My Dad had 7 brothers and sisters and my Mom had 8 and 90% of them Packer fans. You can imagine what game days were like, lol. Me the only Viking's fan around. Hence my red hot hate for the Cheeseheads.
Was he your Uncle Sammy by chance? ;)
lol, I know its weird me calling him that. My wife still looks at me like WTF?
