Rams may move Kupp
Cooper Kupp will be on the move, per Cooper Kupp. https://t.co/TWZ2US0qTj

It would be fun to see him here but this is more of a Madden type thing.
The Rams waited a year too long if they wanted to do this I think. His production fell off a cliff towards the end of the season, which may or may not be related to him getting cornrows in his hair around this time :P.
I'd be surprised if anyone traded for that contract, unless an immediate restructure is worked out. Not sure that's even allowed, though.
I'm sure the Vikings would love to make a trade for help at CB, RB, IOL or DT. Unfortunately, the only players being offered right now are at our two strongest positions, Edge and WR.
As great as Kupp has been, I'd rather get Thielen back for a small fraction of that price and give our QBs a reliable veteran less prone to injuries.
Also, I'd love to have him on the roster when the curse ends.
KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....

I was thinking the same thing. Adam can still play, and he might want to finish his career where it started. He'd be WR3 (or maybe even 4) and we wouldn't pay him close to what he's making now, but he might just be OK with that. Panthers sitting at 8 will be in a good position to take the draft's best WR.
I don’t see how this trade works out. No one is paying $20M for Kupp. They’d also have to pay another $20M in 2026. How do you extend that, add more money to get an extension done to dilute the costs? It’s already too high. I think the only way it’d work out is if the Rams sweetened the pot. Only thing that makes sense to me, is if they convert his 2025 roster bonus into a signing bonus, This would make him 12.5M in 2025 and 20M in 2026. The costs to the Rams would be about 24.75M, which is the same as it would be to cut him, which is only $5M less than just paying him to play.
I just don’t see bringing Thielen back. Maybe at like $4M or something. I feel like KOC would have to dramatically change his scheme to make having more options viable. I think we’re already at the point where only the top 2 options really get looked at, and everyone else is just guys that get those guys open.

I don't see how a trade will work in this scenario. If he's cut, there is a cap hit of dead money of $22 mil in 2025. Saving them $7 mil. I would guess being cut will be how it is. The dead money for 2026 however, is only $7 mil. So, you would be trading for a 1 year rental if you will. A team, that needs a WR that is a contender, might take this on. I could see the Bills making a trade for a 1 year guy. Hope he plays lights out for one more year to go for a SB. Then you can move on from him the next year. The other side of that argument, the Bills will need to restructure contracts to even make it work, being over the cap by about $2 mil.
Another team that needs a WR that was a playoff team and they need help are the Chargers. They could desperately use Kupp for Herbert. I could see that being a spot for him to land. They have enough cap space to make it work as well.

I think if you're a team that wants Kupp, you probably are more hoping that you can get him on the free agent market for closer to $10M a year for a couple years.
Josh Allen throwing to Kupp in 2025!
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
