Good QB play is what brings the NFL to the stratosphere

Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes. Jalen Hurts. A young rookie in Jayden Daniels. These are the types of players that vault the NFL's popularity to its greatest heights. Joe Burrow.  Justin Herbert. Lamar Jackson. Then you have a bunch of guys that are close or ready to break through that move the needle, but just at a slightly lower level than those mentioned. The media loves to match up the QBs, like they are the only ones playing the game. But that's by design because that's what draws in those coveted 'casuals' to watch, click and interact. Big stars are at the lifeblood of any incredibly popular sports league and you can see that with some WRers and RBs, but QBs are the kings. 

Why does Patrick Mahomes get all the calls? Because its good for the NFL, sadly. Like the Jordan Rules. Or LeBron. Tom Brady. And with Taylor Swift in the mix, its icing on the NFL cake for the networks/streaming sports services. I don't think the NFL is rigged, but I do think certain players/teams get 'breaks' that give them an advantage at key points of some games. Don't give this team a first down on 4th and short when they seemed to get it, call a penalty on a big play that helps, etc. Its easy to do. I don't think this happens all the time, but it happens sporadically. Everyone (the players) is getting their bread buttered so only so much real bitching will ever take place. 

It would be great if JJ McCarthy could be one of these types of QBs....no idea if he will or not. But he's got enough 'it' factor, along with those traits that the 'casuals' love (big arm, athletic runner, etc.) that its a possibility. Winning in the clutch is big. Have some swag.
