BFlo says he's gone if he gets the call
Per Bleacher Report...
Flores is among those potentially willing to become the next head coach of the Patriots.
He was asked if he had interest in the position ahead of this weekend's Wild Card Round matchup and he told reporters "I would say yes, but it's not up to me"
He should say yes...lot worse franchise' to go to and they probably have their franchise QB.
My own $$ is on Vrabel though.
More importantly, does KOC have a semblance of a back-up plan yet?
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
Isn't back up plans Kwesi dept? Not sure.. just asking

Maybe...Either way, he would most likely want heavy input on the next DC from his HC .

Flores will get several interview, but I think is unlikely to get a HC job, especially with a team who has a young QB. Think there is too much there with the dysfunction at Miami with Tua, as well as his NFL lawsuit for a team to take a chance on him. Watching him on the sidelines and the way he interacts with players here, it does seem as though he has learned a lot from his experiences and has changed a lot in the way he coaches his players so I could see him as a HC again, but do not think it will be this year.
Given his history, I think it'll be a tough road for him. I agree with JR44. I think he'll get a lot of attention and a lot of interviews, but getting the actual job is another thing entirely.
If this team spends it's wad on top-level defensive players to go with Greenard, Gink, Cashman, Pace and Turner, it could really be something next year under B-Flo's leadership. 2026 is probably when he gets another shot at it.
Vikings’ Brian Flores says it would take ‘right situation’ to accept another head coaching job
Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores is entering another round of head coaching interviews.
“Any time you’re mentioned in head coaching conversations or receive requests, it’s an honor,” Flores said Tuesday, while adding that he is “locked in” on the Vikings' wild-card matchup with the Rams on Monday night.
On Monday, the Jets requested an interview for their head coaching vacancy; Robert Saleh was the first NFL coach fired this season, on Oct. 8. The Bears, who fired Matt Eberflus on Nov. 29, have also reportedly requested an interview with Flores.
Asked about the opening in New England, where Flores spent the first 15 seasons of his coaching career, he said that he would be interested but that it wasn’t up to him if he was considered.
There are no reports of the Patriots having requested an interview after they fired first-year coach Jerod Mayo on Sunday.
He will not be able to interview with any teams for head coaching jobs until Jan. 16, three days after the Vikings play their wild-card game.
Flores, in his second season with the Vikings, was previously head coach for the Dolphins from 2019-21. He was fired and sued the team, alleging owner Stephen Ross offered him money to lose and pressured him to violate NFL tampering rules. He also filed suit against the NFL and three other teams for discriminatory hiring practices.
Asked what he would be paying attention to in his interviews, Flores said it’s no different than an interview in any industry: connection, vibe, energy. Is it an environment he could see turning into a winning one?
Flores lauded the Vikings players and staff, calling his time in Minnesota so far “one of the most rewarding” experiences of his coaching journey.
He said when he left the Steelers in 2022, after one season as linebackers coach, he was looking to work with an offensive mind like Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell to expand his knowledge about that side of the ball.
“I can bounce questions off him and kind of pick his brain from an offensive standpoint, and he does the same thing with me, so it’s been a great kind of marriage,” Flores said. “I don’t want to leave without saying it’s been fantastic here in Minnesota. It would have to be the right situation for me to leave.”

That last part of his quote is key IMO...
"It has to be the right situation for me to leave."
From the sounds of it, he loves it here, his family loves it here, they feel accepted by the team and community. He's got a great gig here with a bright young HC and a defense with a young core.
I think the Patriots job would be 'the right' situation since he started there, had success as a coordinator there, and I'm sure he still has a lot of ties to the city and organization.
I don't really see him jumping to the Jets, Jags, Bears, or any of these other dumpster fire organizations.
You guys are clickbait as hell, taking every tweet and running with it. Hard to tell if you're trolling or believe everything half sentence a reporter says.
What he has done with the Vikings has been special. Kwesi brought in free agents last year that has transformed this defense. I can't believe Flores didn't have a big say in that. I say the Wilfs need to offer him a big bucket of money and kwesi needs to give him one or two man press cover corners and maybe another pass rusher, and this team will be special. If Flores leaves, I don't see them having the same success next year no matter what the offense does.
Ive had tenures in my career where I wish I had done things better or differently. More often than not I grew and learned from that experience...
Probably the case for Flores and in particular Miami.
I dont know if he'll get another HC chance or not? Some owner may fall in love with him this window or the next.
Glad to have him here in the interim. I think he's done well with the pieces he's got and his direction was probably integral in getting Gink/Greenard/Cashman.

The fallout from Miami and the lawsuit are two big impediments. He's a Rooney Rule interview for most of these teams. And most teams nowadays are inclined towards offensive side HC candidates as well, especially the ones with young QBs. The deck is stacked against him. Good for our defensive continuity though.
I think his lawsuits are much more in his way than what happened with Tua. You can very much explain away the Tua thing, by saying something like, “Back when I was younger, I was much more inflexible with my teaching style, I used the teaching style I learned under Belichek, and while it worked for a lot of players, especially the hard nose defenders I’ve coached, it didn’t work for all players. I’ve spent the last couple years working with O’Connell and I’ve learned a lot on how to reach guys that need a softer approach. It’s really helped me improve my performance as a coach and you can see it in just the sheer quantity of players under my direction that are outperforming people’s expectations for them.
I think it’s much tougher to explain why you should still hire a person that has sued their previous employers.
Happy to hear he won't take just any job that comes along. Not sure he's telling the truth though.

An organization that change coaches, GN's and QB's every 2-3 years will be removed from their lists
About half ? the NFL teams will be removed from their lists due to bad ownership.
