Mr. Sammy Darnold, you glorious bastard....
Nothing but flowers for Sam, that dude was a warrior yesterday.
I'm having a hard time now imagining the Vikings letting Darnold walk. He's doing what elite QBs do, win games and game winning drives. Amazing throws. Tough as nails. Elite arm. Leader. When KOC gave one of the game balls in his locker room speech at the end yesterday to Darnold, the team erupted. They love him. And Sammy has been very slyly saying in the post game interviews on the field, "No place I'd rather be than Minnesota".... he's telling them he wants to stay, making it public so the fans understand and its not going on deaf ears now internally. No way it can be.
I can't believe this is where I am now with Sammy, but I am. Not sure what they do, but holy shit Sam has gone beyond changing the narrative for himself.....he's possibly changed it for the Vikings moving forward. The next 2 games and the playoffs will decide this.

I dont think he breaks the bank either, in this scenario the Vikings have leverage, something they never positioend themselves to have when Kork was here.
lmao, do NOT edit this....I'm calling him Kork from this day forward. Mixture of Kirk and dork? ;)

Thanks for posting, this was the video I was referring to.....because he got smashed on this play. And O-line loved him for it.
This agent source said Darnold will get a Viking's contract barring 'a collapse in the playoffs':

We keep saying, "Let's see what happens the next few weeks"....all season long.
This is where I was and then at the end of the game last night I'm like.....that's not fair to Darnold and I wouldn't be doing it with any other player. If this was McCarthy playing like this there'd be a mushroom cloud of excitement emanating from South Florida that could be seen from a satellite. How many games does he have to win? How many TDs does he have to throw? How consistently clutch does he have to be for fans to say 'that's enough, I'm in'?
Go get it, Sammy.....burn that old narrative down to ash, dude.

And here's another viewpoint:
Here’s what one #NFL executive had to say on the Sam Darnold and J.J. McCarthy dilemma via @SandoNFL
“This season has proved Sam needs Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, (T.J.) Hockenson, one of the grittiest offensive lines and a top back in Aaron Jones. If you are Minnesota, you wave goodbye to Sam, wish him luck and hope he signs for $50 million with some team that thinks they are a quarterback away, but doesn’t have all those things Minnesota has. You get the premium comp pick, you found your next Sam Darnold in Daniel Jones and you already have your draft pick (McCarthy) ready to go. That is what a smart organization does.””
