It's kind of a joke he wasn't in the discussion for it earlier this season. All you hear about is Dan Campbell, Dan Quinn, Matt LaFleur (when he was winning with Malik Willis), etc.
I mean everyone thought Darnold was shit before the season and no one had the Vikings winning this many games. The fact that he is able to get this type of production out of Darnold, won 12 games already, and we have a shot to knock off Detroit for the division, and be a #1 seed...
WTF does the guy have to do to get some recognition? He got fucked over for rookie coach of the year when he got us to 13-4 and had some epic wins that season after taking over a roster that missed the playoffs for two straight years. Brian Daboll won it instead and he's boutta get canned for being a douche and having a terrible offense (which he was hired to fix...).
Put some shine on this man, he deserves it.
Preach.
He's the best Plan B guy I've ever seen. Just wins games. Nobody is going to out-gameplan him. He's going to be a perennial winner in Minnesota, 100%. I don't think KOC is going to be able to resist taking McCarthy forward as his piece of clay. His guy, wired his way, right out of the proverbial box as new. Loses nothing from a physical aspect, same arm talent. Midwest tough born and raised. Its going to be interesting.
HOF Head Coach Bill Cowher on #Vikings HC Kevin O’Connell:
“Kevin is not overwhelmed by anything. He can adapt and adjust… He’s very confident in who he is, and very confident in his decision making… the Vikings have one of the best leaders in the National Football League.”
