Whispers....
Flores to Bears in 25?
That or the OC from Bills or Lions if they want offensive coach for Caleb
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
On her latest Making Monsters podcast, Taylor Doll spoke with Luke Braun, who covers the Minnesota Vikings for Locked on Vikings, to preview Monday night's game against the Chicago Bears. They go over the last matchup by discussing what worked and didn't work for each team.
Making the case for Brian Flores as the next Bears' head coach.
“I think he'd make a really good head coach for the Bears specifically. I actually love it. I hate how much I love it for the Bears," Braun said on the show. "Because like, I mean, there's this idea of tradition with the Bears and stuff, but the Bears need their mean streak back, right? Like they need to get their 'everybody fears us' kind of thing."
"Everybody fears Brian Flores. The problem is that owners hate this guy. Many owners deeply hate this guy because of the lawsuit with Miami and all that stuff. Like, it is political. We thought we were losing him last year. He didn't get a call, it was crickets.”
Flores' first head coaching gig with the Dolphins did not go well and it did not end well, but he's probably going to get another shot at some point, and he could get an interview this cycle.
Don't want to see Flores with the Bears, but if he does go, I think the Vikings get a 3rd round comp pick two years running. I don't know though, the trend seems to be more toward offensive head coaches to help with all the young QBs. And they got one in Chicago.
Can't see the Bears wanting Caleb in the situation Tua described as playing for a "terrible person". There are a few red flags in that dirty laundry.

The bears are a bit dysfunctional, but i dont think they are fucked up enough to pair Flores with a high profile rookie QB that has shown to be a bit eccentric and emotional. That just screams disaster.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
I dont know bros...
This seems like just the kinda hire Warren would love.
BUT --- Common sense would dictate either of the OC's from Bills or Lions - if they could lure them away. They have some talent on that club and it starts with the QB.

I honestly think Flores is still radioactive in the HC department. Owners have long memories and challenging them with a lawsuit probably didn't sit well no matter how justified it was.
I love what he's done for our defense and selfishly hope he stays here for awhile longer.
Nope. I think they need an offensive minded head coach. I think might make some people second guess Flores unfortunately for him.

Flores isn't gonna go to an organization that changes coaches, quarterbacks and front office every 3 years.
Flores will be very particular in who he chooses a his next employer

Yeah the Bears are a mess and there's no stability. I don't see him going there. He went through some things in Miami and I think he would choose a different spot

You can't challenge the owners and then double down and sue. Whether anyone likes it or not, the owners run the NFL. They have the money. Spare me the boo hoo they are billionaires and you are owed something. Get off your ass and try and make it and work like they do. I guarantee they work at all hours. People with money don't owe you shit.
I don't see any way, especially with open lawsuits yet, that he will get a chance. I expect Flores to be our DC, maybe with a better title, in 2025.

Yep. I see Flores with an Assistant Head Coach title and a lot more bank after KOC gets his new contract (I'm still not a fan of Kwesi). The Wilfs are figuring out that by spending money they make money and increase the value of their investment...solidifying their coaching staff well into the future does just that.
