Not sure who else I would want for this team right now....
I always feel confident with KOC if the game is going to be chess with a tough opponent. And he's got a locker room with dudes that respect and love the guy. When he resigns with Minnesota, its going to be big bucks. Watch and see. And he's paired with the right guy right now with Flores. Fingers crossed that BFlo is here in 2025, but a little birdie told me he will be. He thinks the team will be even better next year and he wants to be here for it. And Brian loves Minnesota.
This guy is getting The Bag soon and he deserves it. They'll need him because the NFCN is going to be a real dogfight the next 5+ years.

I'm surprised there are still doubters among our fanbase. I get wanting to see some playoff success, but it's just a matter of time. If Kirk didn't blow his Achilles mid-season, we're probably a 10-11 win team last year and on pace to have 3 straight seasons in the playoffs.
He's got Sam Darnold playing like a top 12 QB. Even Kirk Cousins whose career record was around .500... KOC was 17-8 with Cousins as his QB. Dude knows how to coach his teams to win.
We struck gold in that HC class. Can't wait to lock him up long term and see what he does with J.J. McCarthy next year and into the future.
BOOM
I'm surprised as well. I hear from some arm folded doubters its about 'wins and losses', lol......he's producing those big time. Shit, he won a few games with the Passtronaut. He picked up a project/bridge QB this year and is 8-2. He's coached at various times without a starting LT, his starting TE JUST got back (Hock) and Blackmon's injury was a bigger blow than fan's realize, I think the staff thought he'd pop this year. The Hitman and Gilmore aren't spring chickens back there.
Not sure what some fan's expectations are, but I guess I'll just smh a bit.....

Thats a reunion that likely wouldn't have happened, JJM was a true freshman in 21 inder harbaugh, if we had hired Harbaugh at the start of 22, likely alters both career paths. Pebble in pond thing.
Im thinking in this light KOC turns out to be an even better choice.
KOC has the 7th best winning percentage (.636) among active NFL head coaches...and that's with the injury apocalypse of 2023 thrown in there.
Nice story on O'Connell from the Strib:

"Former NFL safety and current CBS game analyst Adam Archuleta said something on Sunday’s broadcast from Tennessee that’s becoming more of a common take as the Vikings continue to shock the NFL with a quarterback few if anyone other than coach Kevin O’Connell believed in.
“You can tell that Sam Darnold has been coached in a way that he never really has been coached in his career,” Archuleta said as Darnold put together an excellent game under pressure in a 23-13 win over the Titans."
