Totally stoked. 58 years old and getting out of the corporate rat race. Think it will impact my post count here? ;)
If Florida passes Amendment 3 today, might give Cheech and Chong a run for their money.

Not a morning has gone by that I am not happy that, I don't have to rise and grind.

That's what I'm looking forward to. And the absolute ridiculousness of Corporate America on every level, its worse today than ever. So much counter productive garbage, office politics, unrealistic goal setting and just bad management. I have zero tolerance for it, completely jaded. And now zero fucks to give. ;)

My friends ask me what I'm going to do: I say I'm good at working.....but I'm also good at not working. I won't miss it.

Good for you.  As for me, I'm older than you and just "...tired".
Unfortunately, I still have a business to run.

If you love your business, Tom, its not so much like work. My job career for me was always a means to an end, I worked to live not vice versa. If you don't love your business, then yeah, I'm sure its a grind.

I hear that.

My tolerance for the office environment really dipped in my 50's and by 58 I was done. I miss some of the people, but not the work and everything that surrounds it. The people I want to stay in touch with I have.

Give yourself some time to find and ease into new routines...You've been working for decades and then not? That's quite a change.

I've worked remotely for the last 23 years, so I didn't have to deal with an office environment or I would have retired 5 years ago! The whole business travel experience got so old with me....air travel continues to suck with less flights available, smaller spaces on the planes and COVID destroyed most flight attendants tolerance for travelers considering how they were treated by people....and continue to be. Hotels have less amenities and horrible staff now. Corporations treat their employees like expendable sheep. I could go on and on.

p.s. And a draft of IPA at the airport bars are $13-$14 a pint! ;)

We don't need Amendment 3, I can drop off some Wyld Gummies; first 10mg Pomegranate Gummy free. :)

Done and done! I actually buy these high mg Delta 8 gummies from a local shop and they do the job, which is surprising to me as I was skeptical about a year ago and hadn't tried them because I thought it was bullshit. Me so wrong! ;)  It would be easy to get a medicinal marijuana card so that's what I'll do here in the next month or so.

p.s. I wish someone would have told me how awesome retirement is.....I'm loving it. To anyone that's lived their career in corporate America, especially in a sales/leadership position, there's always low to high level pressure to produce: you individually as a contributor, managing a sales team to hit Plan, etc. especially the last 3-4 years. That all evaporated and its been an amazing feeling.  :)
