Rush Defense #2
Okay, the sky is falling, we are self destructing, yet somehow manage to be in second place in the Norris Division at 6-2.
Give credit to the rushing defense, ranked #2 in yards per game (81.9 vs. Ravens #1 at a stingy 75.7).
We're fifth WORST in pass defense (YPG). Wanna guess who gives up more passing yards per game?
Ravens worst at 280.9
Jaguars at 264.3
Bucs at 255.4
Lions at 250.8
Vikings...at 250
Goes to show that the better you are at stopping the run, the better your record probably be.

Teams with better records are often leading more of the games which forces teams to abandon the run earlier and focus on the passing attack to try and keep up so its could be kind of misleading, also giving up garbage time yards playing in prevent D to force the other team to burn the clock or timeouts and avoid the bigs plays gives up a lot of pointless yards.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
Teams have been playing behind so would make sense, we have the 2nd least number of rushes against us (171) and the 3rd most pass attempts (316) the latter almost 100 more than the Cowboys has had. Defense is definitely much improved, but the DL is still a weakness, outside of Phillips does not seem to be much impact there.
