So, here's some dual-threat outrage for all "main party" fans to consider:

The entire media world is bubbling about orange boi essentially stating he wants to be able to unleash the military on "extremists", and his babble seems to include "people with dissenting opinions", depending on how one translates his increasingly Biden-esque dementia-speak...

...but, it's juxtaposed against a political party that both works to disarm its people (most of the armed being its political opponents), while also chasing off its law enforcement AND failing to prosecute/keep imprisoned violent criminals...

...so, yeah, plenty of outrage!!

...but, reminders for why orange-boi keeps reserving space on my s**t list:

Trump University- Fraud.
Trump Foundation- Fraud.
Trump Organization- Tax Dodge (see: Fraud).

I don't see how his fans keep brushing this off, I can't figure out how any decent people could.

You know, I've made my peace. Both the wife and I have cast our ballots and are done. She just had foot surgery, so we did mail in to make it easier for her. 

Honestly, I am burned out on politics. I "think" the election will be close, but I've prepared myself for 4 more years of Trump if that becomes the outcome. 

Politics have always been ugly, but it's gotten nastier and stakes seem higher.  Both parties have morphed into just freaky the last 12-15 years. That said, I have a bunch of conservative friends in red states. We disagree, give each other s hit too. It's ok to disagree.

Its just sad how divided our country is. Could get ugly first few weeks of November and beyond.

I can turn Trump off and not listen to him for 48 mos. Been there/done that, so not a problem for me. Quick finger on the remote is all it takes. 

Frankly, I dont expect my daily life to change too much by whomever is Potus. I got other, bigger concerns (as I am sure most here do). 

The concern I have is who he surrounds himself with in an administration and at what point does he start jonesing for a 3rd term?

This is really the stuff that's important to you Z?  You did the same with Vance's old cat lady comment when he was named VP candidate.  Since you know about the comment..you also know that the Trump campaign rebuffed the joke which was told before many of the speakers were even in the hall.  Hell, even Jon Stewart came to the defense on this one.  George Lopez did a lot of lazy, stealing Mexican jokes at the Kamala rally last week as well (yea...I know he's Mexican).  I thought Lopez' jokes were funnier for what it's worth.  At least we're not playing the dog whistle game this time around and making stuff up out of nothing...so that's progress I guess.  This was really about trying to deflect from the fact that Trump had an enthusiastic overflow crowd at MSG in deep blue NY.

For an election cycle that has seen two assassination attempts against Trump...the whole 1939 Nazi thing is a dangerous game.  To be a fascist, he would have to control the media and dictate what information can be presented, control the educational system, create a secret police to investigate and charge his opponents, diminish the role of the church..etc.  Honestly, does that sound more like Trump or his opponents.

Thankfully, this election will be over (except for the crying) in a week.  It is decidedly no fun living in a swing state with literally hundreds of commercials.

Hopefully, the parties will take to the center next time or someone will jump from a major party and finally get enough traction as a third party candidate.  I would have like to seen Gabbard or Vivek as a third party alternative this time around but it wasn't to be.
